About me and my therapy practice

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I understand that starting counselling can feel daunting, so I offer a free 15-minute exploratory session. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions about the counselling process and for us to see whether working together feels right.

I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and change, even during difficult times. My role is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings and work towards positive change.

I work with adults, children and young people (CYP) and am a qualified CYP counsellor. When working with children and young people, I take a gentle, flexible approach, allowing them to express themselves at their own pace. I support young people experiencing anxiety, low mood, bereavement and loss, family changes, school pressures, and self-esteem difficulties, helping them to build emotional awareness and resilience.

I also support adults with issues including grief and loss, workplace challenges, anxiety, and self-esteem, to name a few and work integratively to meet each individual’s needs.

In addition to my counselling diploma, I have completed further training in domestic abuse, workplace issues,  bereavement and loss for both adults and young people. I am committed to ongoing professional development.

My experience includes agency work, 12 years as a bereavement volunteer counsellor, and seven years providing helpline support to individuals experiencing domestic abuse.

Practice description
