About me and my therapy practice

I believe in working with your individual needs. Please call me for a free, no obligation chat so I can answer any questions you may have.

I specialise in working with anxiety, low self esteem and difficult family relationships.

This may look like:

Feeling anxious, sad or angry and your relationships with a partner or family and friends are difficult. We can unpick your thoughts and feelings and try to help you understand yourself and the way you relate with others more deeply.

You are experiencing a strong inner critic and have low self esteem. You might be over thinking, worrying and feeling low for no reason? Does it affect your self confidence?

Let's look at the obstacles and triggers together and find ways for you to have a new perspective on your thoughts and embrace self compassion, which in turn will have a positive effect on how you feel.

Is the anxiety you experience preventing you from living the life you want? We can work together to work through strategies to experience the life you want to lead.

I work with young adults from aged 16 and adults. I am committed to honouring the equality and diversity of my clients and have an excellent understanding of neurodiversity and has a neuroaffirming practice.

I have a down to earth and kind approach with an emphasis on building a non judgemental and trusting relationship with you. I am passionate about the positive changes that Counselling can bring to a person's wellbeing and lifestyle.

Having the opportunity to be heard without judgement allows you to feel less alone with your own problems and see your thoughts from a different perspective. Wouldn't it be great to spend time on yourself, feel more in control and improve your quality of life?

Practice description

I work face to face, online or over the phone. I also offer walk and talk therapy in Dorset.

We can agree together on the best approach for you, this is important because you are the expert on your situation. For example, we can create structure around the sessions and create goals for your therapy, or create time and space to explore and let the process organically evolve.

I aim to co create a space with you where you can be open and honest about your self. A place where you can speak freely without advice or judgement from me. Because I am not involved in your day to day life it means the focus remains soley on you and your feelings and experiences.

I am Integrative Counsellor which means I can draw on different techniques to support you to understand what is happening in your life. We can look at your 'whole' experience, what you feel, think and how you react to your situation.

I can use psycho education to help you understand your situation and experiences or we can use art or creative tools to explore feelings and thoughts.

The great thing is there will always be tools or strategies that suit you as an individual and we can work on this together.

My first session

I offer a free half-hour consultation for us to get to know each other and I can explain how we can work together and answer any questions you might have. I appreciate that this might be the first time you have shared how you're feeling.

About me and my therapy practice

I believe in working with your individual needs. Please call me for a free, no obligation chat so I can answer any questions you may have.

I fully appreciate how anxiety provoking it can be talking to a stranger and the prospect of coming to counselling for the first time. I hope you will find me down to earth, relaxed and friendly.

I work with young adults and adults to work on overwhelming or challenging emotions which can cause stress or anxiety and are preventing you from living the life you want to lead.

Perhaps you feel out of control, lost or stuck?

Would you like to improve the relationships in your life?

Change the way you react to people or events?

Have you experienced a loss of someone or a way of life that is impacting how you feel?

Counselling is a safe, comfortable and confidential place to explore and reflect on what is troubling you. By working together we can help you open up about your feelings without being judged or criticised.

Counselling can give you a clearer frame of mind, a more positive outlook on life and better communication with others, allowing you to cope and feel more in control of your situation.
