About me and my therapy practice
We all can experience emotional pain and struggles in one form or another, which impact on how we relate to and interact with ourselves, others and the world around us. This is part of being human. Having a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can work through whatever difficulties you are having now or have experienced in the past can help to increase your understanding of yourself and others, your resources and coping skills, and the quality of life you lead.
I offer a supportive, affirming and collaborative space that is separate from your everyday life and relationships to explore whatever difficulties you might be facing. You might have a clear idea of what's troubling you, or perhaps you have a sense that something just isn't quite right in your life. Counselling can give you the room you need to explore what's going on for you, and to find a way forward to the place you want to be.
I work in a person-centred way, which means I see and respect you as the expert in your own life and I deeply value the therapeutic relationship we create together.
I am also influenced by my pluralistic qualification where I was trained in a number of different counselling theories – including CBT, psychodynamic, solution-focused – and we might decide together to draw from some of these approaches.
I qualified in 2014 and I have worked with adults from all walks, ages and stages of life. You can expect me to be honest and accepting, to treat you with respect and dignity, and as the individual that you are. Deciding to address those things that challenge your well-being can be a daunting task, so I will work at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you. I am autistic and queer and committed to working with an affirming and anti-oppressive approach.
I work in-person in North East Fife and remotely by phone and video call throughout the UK.

About me and my therapy practice
Supervision is, for me, first and foremost a relational experience. I offer a safe, supportive and reflective space to explore the many aspects of therapeutic work. I work in a flexible way and will collaborate with you to ensure that our sessions are attuned to your supervision needs.
Having been a qualified counsellor for over a decade, I recognise that what we seek and require from supervision changes over the life course of our career in counselling. I will endeavour to meet with you fully at the place where you are currently in your journey as a counsellor, taking both your professional and personal self into consideration, respecting where you have come from, your experience and your future developmental needs.
I bring a broad range of therapeutic experience to my supervision work, from being a trainee counsellor in placements to having worked in agencies and the voluntary sector with trauma and addictions, with EAPs and being in private practice with individuals. I work in person and remotely with specific qualifications for online counselling and supervision, and I am accredited with the Â鶹Դ´. As a therapist my training was pluralistic, however my main way of working is person-centred. As a supervisor, I trained in the 7 eyed model, a holistic approach I really value for ensuring that supervision isn’t one-dimensional. I am autistic and queer and committed to affirming and anti-oppressive practice, this includes my own continuing professional and personal development.
If you are looking for a supervisor, then please get in contact to arrange an initial chat where we can explore the potential to work together.
