About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Jenna, thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.
I am Trauma and Abuse Specialist and have worked in high tier crisis roles, prior to becoming a therapist. These roles have included extensive work in Domestic Abuse, Sexual Abuse and Human Trafficking. I am a qualified EMDR therapist and use this to treat PTSD, CPTSD, Anxiety and Depression.
I have over eighteen years experience of working within the field of Trauma, with Men, Women and Children. I consult and Supervise agencies, in the arena of trauma.
How I work, is that I will offer you a space to learn yourself safely, whilst I learn you, your journey and how you manage yourself emotionally in the present day.
I am looking to move you towards a space of being consciously connected to the self and life.
What to expect, is that I am not light in the ways in which I work. I will be wanting to identify what is in your way, to reaching a better version of yourself. Whether this be a toxic habitual behaviours, unresolved issues or patterns, I will be working with what is and is not conscious to you.
If you are referring to have EMDR Treatment, you will need to have a case formulation session and we will collaborate a treatment plan, prior to using EMDR.
EMDR is extremely powerful and will need stabilisation sessions, before administration.
I offer a therapy, that is deeply connected to self governance. To reach that destination, for most of my clients, there are obstacles that are in the way. We leave no stone unturned. We are truly authentic to this whole process.
I am currently a Clinical Supervisor for Stop Domestic Abuse Teams and Motiv8- both large charities in the Third Sector. I oversee at least seventy members of staff monthly, in Trauma Informed Clinical Supervision.
I am also privately commissioned as a Trauma Therapist for a Local School and work extensively with teenagers on PTSD and CPTSD.
Practice description
It is important to know, I am not light in the ways that I work with Trauma and Abuse.
Trauma, Adverse Childhood Experiences, Attachment issues, Domestic Abuse, Sexual Abuse can all get locked into mind, body and emotions. I see it as my role to learn your journey with compassion, then unlock the rigid structures of trauma, to ensure that you are living more free from it.
This therapy, is encouraging movement and is a process of unloading your trauma and areas of concern.
I use tools of psychological education, to develop your awareness and understanding of yourself and I will develop your consciousness of what is standing in your way. You are going to wake up and become more present, in working with me.
If you are a victim of Domestic Abuse or have lived with abuse in your environment, I am again going to teach you of the impact and separate you out, for the abuse that has been administered.
As stated above, I have spent eighteen years, in some of these arenas. I am up to date with Domestic Abuse Legislation and protocols, so can advise you on how this can look.
Parents of teenagers. Please know, that I will not have contact with any parent of a teenager that I am working with. I uphold the ethical provisions of therapy and unless there is a significant risk of harm, I will not be feeding back the sessions to any parents, of referring teenagers.
My first session
The first session is the initial. This is £70- please note you are paying for experience. I am an Accredited Therapist with the Â鶹Դ´ and have many years under my belt. I will ask that all sessions are paid upfront, as my time is limited.
EMDR sessions are 50 mins long and cost £70 per session. - The first sessions of EMDR will be history taking session and formulations of treatment plans. Whilst I introduce stabilisation strategies.
EMDR is also somatic, so as much as we use it for mind, emotions, I will also be looking at the body.
Prior to the session, I will send out my contract to you for you to see my terms and agreements of therapy and then we will get to work together.
I would ask that you book 6 sessions with me (initially) and have the option of paying the up front. Please ensure you agree to this as I do not offer short term therapy.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a Trauma Specialist and have worked in the arena for two decades.
I have extensive experience and I am not light in my approach. If you are looking for an immersed experience, of learning yourself and dismantling any obstructions in your path, I am for you.
I require all those that work with me, to be open to learning themselves deeply and to dismantle areas and themes of disturbances. I will give home work and point you to areas of psychological education, to enhance your awareness and understanding of trauma and yourself.
I will challenge the areas that I need to, and teach you how to do the same. I have twenty years experience in trauma, in some of the most extreme settings:- this has included-
* Working with Perpetrator's on behaviour change models.
*Working extensively with Domestic Abuse.
*Child Sexual Abuse and victims of rape and sexual assault.
* Empathy Re-engagement- targeting prolific offenders.
*Human Trafficking as a First Responder.
For me, this journey is about setting you free and for you to learn how to regulate your own emotions. Once the trauma is worked on, then we go to governance of the self and who and what you are and want to be, as you move around in life.
We reclaim your power. Its not always easy but fundamentally necessary and I leave no stone unturned, I am all in with you.
I give the therapy my all, and expect the same from you.
There is nothing I have not worked with and today I work with specialist teams, such as the homicide team in Victim Support and also with Sporting Chance, where I have worked professional athletes through trauma.
I have over eight thousand hours of clinical experience and supervise several organisations, in how to be trauma informed.
Practice description
I require at least six initial sessions with you.
For EMDR, I will formulate a pre treatment plan and will not administer the treatment, until I can identify someone is ready to take it.
I do not work lightly and need this to be understood. I work with young adults 14-18 years old also. I will ask that they are ready to work on their trauma, prior to any agreed working.
I do not work with the parents, if you are referring a young person to me, I do not feed anything back and need this to be fully understood. I work to the ethical provisions of therapy and will not bend these rules at all, unless there is a significant risk of harm (then I will work to a duty of care protocol)
I teach boundaries and have robust boundary management myself.
Supervision- I supervise Stop Domestic Abuse Teams, Motiv8 staff and Management teams and also Oarsome Chance.
I run Trauma Informed Supervision and for anyone coming to me for Supervision, I will look at your professional frame of reference of working in trauma and enhance this. I will look for your blind spots and hold complex cases with you. I can teach you, but require you are open.
