About me and my therapy practice

I am an Accredited Psychodynamic Counsellor with over 18 years’ experience supporting adults through a broad range of emotional, relational, and mental health challenges.

My practice is dedicated to helping clients explore their unconscious processes, understand the root causes of their emotional struggles, and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

Individual Therapy: for adults of all ages, exploring issues such as anxiety, depression, identity & self-esteem, grief & loss, and more.

Relationship Therapy: I help couples or partners who want to deepen connection, improve communication, heal after conflict, navigate transitions (e.g. parenting, separation, major life changes), or rebuild trust.

Short-Term Therapy: Focused on addressing immediate concerns and developing coping strategies within a limited number of sessions.

Long-Term Therapy: In-depth exploration of unconscious processes, past experiences, and their impact on present behaviour, allowing for profound personal growth and healing.

Flexible Session Formats: I offer face-to-face sessions, as well as online video sessions and telephone counselling to accommodate your preferences and needs.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach is rooted in psychodynamic principles — helping clients gently explore unconscious patterns, early life influences, and the ways they affect present-day behaviour and relationships. I also draw on integrative modalities to ensure our work is tailored to you — your needs, your pace, your goals.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is central — your feeling safe, seen, and heard is vital for healing and growth. In the first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other, clarifying what brings you, and exploring how I may best support you. For couples, I encourage openness, compassion, and a shared sense of purpose.

I can offer a free, brief introductory session for you to ask questions, and explore how counselling with me could help.

Following this an initial assessment of 90 minutes may be offered.
