About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I鈥檓 Kristin.

I鈥檓 a Master鈥檚-level therapist and coach with 25 years of experience in counselling psychology and clinical research. I specialize in high-functioning anxiety, performance psychology, and relationship dynamics, and I鈥檝e helped thousands of clients improve their health, careers, relationships, and overall quality of life without self-sacrifice.

I work with sensitive high achievers who are not interested in a half-lived life. They are often perceived as successful, composed, and highly productive, yet behind that image is a constant sense of pressure, inadequacy, and persistent dissatisfaction.

High-functioning anxiety is an adaptive pattern of thinking, feeling, and responding that develops over time and is reinforced through achievement. The external payoffs often mask the internal toll, making it difficult to recognize the need for change. This is why you鈥檝e tolerated the discomfort of the symptoms for so long (e.g. overthinking, chronic hypervigilance, self-doubt, perfectionism, self-criticism, procrastination followed by intense periods of overworking, taking on too much, people pleasing, fear of failure, guilt, difficulty switching off, fear of being judged, and an inability to enjoy progress or celebrate success).

If insight alone were enough to shift this pattern, you would have done it already. This work requires consistent, deliberate effort to rewire how you feel, think, and behave, and a unique skillset that you have not yet learned.

Having worked through my own patterns of attachment trauma and achievement-based self-worth, I understand both the drive to succeed and the toll it can take when connection, authenticity, or peace are compromised. I鈥檓 known for my clinical precision, natural intuition, and no-BS approach. Drawing from neuroscience, epigenetics, and evidence-based models, I integrate cognitive, somatic, and spiritual psychology in sessions that balance warmth, insight, humour, focus, and challenge to create lasting results.

Practice description

My practice involves a structured 10 session program that integrates counselling and coaching, delivered over 12 weeks, with scheduling adapted where needed to accommodate individual availability.

This begins with 8 weekly sessions designed to uncover and actively rewire the underlying patterns shaping your belief systems, thinking, emotional states, behaviour, and results. In these foundational sessions, we build personalized strategies to help you break old patterns and access more emotional freedom, clarity, confidence, and direction. This is followed by two bi weekly sessions focused on integration, refinement, and long-term consistency.

This structure is intentional. Deeply ingrained patterns do not change through a 鈥渉ow does that make you feel, okay, see you next week鈥 type therapy conversation. The results you are wanting to experience will only be available within a focused process that delivers accelerated understanding, skill acquisition, repeated application, and expert guidance.

Each session is 60 minutes and held online. After each session, you receive a detailed written overview capturing what we explored, the insights that surfaced, and key takeaways to apply. Each overview includes comprehensive analysis to ensure clarity and reinforce the strategies we鈥檝e developed, giving you something you can return to and apply between sessions.

You will have access to session recordings, if desired, and supporting tools and resources to reinforce key concepts and deepen integration.

This is a focused, active process for clients who are ready to engage fully and commit to some deep work. After completing the initial program, one off sessions are available if additional support, refinement, or accountability are ever needed.
