About me and my therapy practice

If you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, anger, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to face it alone. I’m a Â鶹ԭ´´ Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with thousands of hours of client experience, specialising in evidence-based online therapy for adults.

Together, we’ll work on the challenges holding you back - whether that’s depression, anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, bereavement, relationship difficulties, or ongoing stress. Clients often tell me I’m warm and easy to talk to, yet also clear and focused. My goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and able to move forward with practical strategies that create real change.

I use proven approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Behavioural Activation, combined with insights from psychodynamic and person-centred practice. My ongoing research at Oxford into planning strategies informs how I tailor sessions to your needs, ensuring therapy is both structured and flexible.

Therapy with me is always a partnership: I bring expertise, you bring your lived experience, and together we’ll find a way through. Most people notice positive shifts within the first month, feeling more in control and better equipped to handle life’s ups and downs.

I work exclusively online via Zoom, Teams, WhatsApp or phone, making therapy flexible and accessible wherever you are. I’m registered with major insurers including Aviva, AXA, Bupa, Cigna, Evernorth, Vitality, and WPA, and can handle direct billing. Self-funding clients are also welcome, with transparent pricing and discounted packages available.

Practice description

I offer flexible, evidence-based therapy tailored to your goals and circumstances. Sessions are held online via Zoom, Teams, WhatsApp or phone, giving you privacy, accessibility, and the freedom to fit therapy around your life.

If you’re insured with Aviva, AXA, Bupa, Cigna, Evernorth, Vitality, or WPA, I can arrange direct billing. If you’re self-funding, I provide clear pricing for 50-minute sessions and discounts for block bookings.

Therapy can be short-term (6–12 sessions) if you want focused support with issues like anxiety, stress, or mood management, or longer-term (20+ sessions or open-ended) if you’d like to explore deeper, more complex concerns. I integrate CBT, Behavioural Activation, and psychodynamic insights, while using Oxford-based research on planning strategies to create effective, personalised sessions.

We’ll usually meet weekly in the afternoon or evening at a regular time that works for you. Sessions begin with a check-in and move into practical strategies, such as reframing thoughts, experimenting with new behaviours, or applying structured planning techniques to boost mood and motivation.

Progress is regularly reviewed so you can see how far you’ve come and we can adapt as needed. My aim is for therapy to be effective, collaborative, and firmly rooted in the real-world challenges you face - so you not only cope better, but feel more confident and resilient in daily life.

My first session

Your first session with me is always free - a 50-minute, no-pressure opportunity to talk about what’s troubling you and see if we’re a good fit.

You’ll set the pace while I ask focused questions to help us understand what’s going on for you. Together we’ll start to identify patterns in your thoughts, feelings, or behaviours. If it’s helpful, I may share a simple evidence-based technique that gives you immediate insight or relief.

By the end of the session, we’ll outline some potential goals and consider a tailored plan for moving forward. I’ll always be honest about whether I believe I’m the right person to support you. If not, I’ll guide you towards other resources that might be more suitable.

For insurance clients, we’ll confirm your cover. For self-funding clients, I’ll explain session options and discounts. Either way, you’ll leave the session with greater clarity and a sense of the possible next steps.

There’s no obligation to continue. Many people find even one session gives them a clearer perspective and a sense of hope. If you do choose to go forward, we’ll agree clear goals and work at a pace that feels manageable for you. My priority is that you feel safe, heard, and supported from the very start.
