About me and my therapy practice
I offer Humanistic Counselling, drawing from a blend of Person-Centered, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis approaches. At the heart of my practice is the belief in the power of the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore whatever you need, at your own pace, allowing for natural growth and positive change.
As an embodied practitioner, I’m particularly interested in how emotions are reflected in the body. I aim to honour not only your thoughts and feelings but also the physical sensations that accompany them. This holistic approach can help to foster deeper self-awareness and healing.
In addition to my work as a counsellor, I bring over 10 years of experience as a complementary therapist, specialising in women's health. This background informs my approach, offering a unique perspective on the body-mind connection. I also have several years of experience working with animals—primarily horses and dogs—and, where appropriate, we might incorporate their therapeutic presence into our sessions.
I work long-term with individuals seeking personal growth, and people dealing with issues like anxiety, depression, or the effects of trauma. I also offer focussed, time limited support around the menstrual cycle and its emotional, physical, and psychological impacts, and a safe space for people wishing to explore the impact of expanded consciousness or mystical/metaphysical experiences.
Practice description
I work in private practice based in Kingston (Greater London/Surrey), via video conferencing or phone, and outdoors in Richmond Park combining the therapeutic effects and resources of nature.
Sessions are 50 minutes long, generally weekly (sometimes moving to fortnightly) and I work with adults aged 18 or over. I can offer a dedicated session time on Fridays (online or outdoors), or flexible timing on other work days.
Outdoor sessions are conducted in all weather, with the exception of extreme weather conditions which might create a risk to life.
Online or phone sessions may not be suitable for everyone - we can discuss this on an initial call and see what might work best for you.
Any contracts, any agreements, and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with my services shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, English law.
My first session
Before you and I meet for the first time, I will offer you a no-obligation and no-charge phone conversation so that you can get an idea of my style and assess my suitability for your needs, and so I can assess whether counselling with me might be suitably supportive for you. To help me assess this, during the call I will ask about your reasons for seeking counselling, and ask about any prior experiences with counselling or psychological health services, and what sort of support networks you might have around you. I will explain my contractual terms and fees and see if our schedules align for sessions. If it seems like there is potential for you and I to be a good match to work together, we can arrange an initial session.
Before we meet, I will send you a copy of the Â鶹Դ´ Ethical Framework to which I adhere, my initial contract (usually for 6 exploratory sessions including the initial session), and my privacy policy, for you to consider in advance of our initial session. I will ask you to sign my privacy policy before the initial session.
When we meet for the first time I will ask more specific questions about your history, and I will gather some personal and sensitive information (to be kept in accordance with Data Protection legislation) including your GP and emergency contact details, date of birth, address and contact details, any relevant medical conditions and medications, and psychological diagnostic history. This is recorded to assist me in fulfilling my duty of care towards you and to ensure I can get appropriate help to you in an emergency (even if we only meet this once). I may take some notes during this initial session.
Towards the end of the session, I will ask how you feel about continuing further. You can take time think about this, you don't need to decide on the spot. If you do decide to continue, I will require a signed copy of my contract before the 2nd session. Document signing is completed via an online signing service, no printing required.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a humanistic practitioner with over 8 years in practice, and a background in bodywork and healing modalities, for people and animals. My current practice also includes work as a therapist in clinical trials exploring the potential for psychoactive (so-called 'psychedelic') substances for treatment resistant mental health conditions.
My humanistic approach combines Person-Centred, TA, and Gestalt modalities within an integrative framework of Clarkson's 5 Relationship Model.
I am currently a supervisor in placement, having completed my training (with a specialism in online working) and now building my supervision hours towards full qualification. During this period, I offer discounted supervision at half my post-qualification fee.
I offer supervision online, and outdoors in Richmond Park (Kingston Gate). If you require face-to-face indoor sessions, please feel free to email me and we can explore what might be possible.
Practice description
As a supervisor, my approach is grounded in the Hawkins & Shohet 7-Eyed Model of Supervision, which supports a relational and process-orientated way of exploring your work. For trainees and recently qualified therapists, I also draw on Stoltenberg & McNeill’s Integrated Development Model (IDM), which offers gentle structure and a clear developmental focus. This can be especially helpful if you’re wanting to grow your confidence or competencies in particular areas of practice.
As a Â鶹Դ´ accreditation assessor I am well versed in the SCoPEd framework and can use this as a way to help you identify areas for growth.
You’re welcome to bring anything connected to your work:
– client material
– private practice processes and admin
– thoughts about career direction or CPD
– your relationship with the profession
– or a more mentoring-style focus if you’re in training or newly qualified
I see supervision as a space where two colleagues come together with the shared aim of supporting the client. It’s a place for honest, congruent exploration without judgment, and for guidance when needed. I bring my background as a counselling lecturer, therapist and assessor into the work, always holding the relationship at the centre.
If you are a trainee, please check with your training institution that they are happy for you to work with a supervisor in training.
My first session
If you're interested in working together, I would suggest an initial online meeting where you can ask me questions, tell me a bit about your practice and what you're wanting from supervision, and I can describe a bit more about how I work. I'll also go through key points of my contracts, and together we can see if we might be a good match to work together. We can also talk about scheduling options. There is no fee for this meeting, and it will last up to half an hour.
If we do decide to proceed, I will send you contracts for signing, and an intake form, via my online practice management service.
I offer 60 minute or 90 minute sessions.
My fees (pre-qualification):
• 1 hour (60 minutes): £37.50 (will be £75 post-qualification)
• 1.5 hours (90 minutes): £56.25 (will be £112.50 post-qualification)
I will fully qualify no later than end of June 2026, and if sooner, I will give you one month's notice of the impending fee change.
