About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified accredited Counsellor working in Cheltenham.
I provide Face-to-Face counselling from a calm and relaxing space in Central Cheltenham or online counselling, to suit your needs.
It is not easy to make the decision to come to counselling and it takes courage to seek the help that you feel you might need.
There are many reasons that someone might seek out counselling:
Perhaps you are feeling stuck, finding it hard to make a change? Maybe you are feeling anxious, depressed or in a low mood that feels hard to shift? Perhaps there is something in your past which is having an impact on how you feel now in your life?
Whatever your reasons for choosing therapy, I am able to offer a confidential, warm, safe space in which to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It is important that you feel safe and supported and that we can create a secure relationship where you feel safe to acknowledge your true feelings and understand more about yourself.
It can be very powerful to be truly heard and accepted for who you really are, without judgement.
Practice description
I work with a variety of clients aged 18 or over, including those with anxiety, depression, bereavement, low self-esteem, trauma and relationship difficulties.
Since 2017 I worked for six years as a counsellor for a charity in Gloucestershire working with a range of clients including those in a caring role and those who have suffered trauma.
Training:
CPCAB L4 Diploma (2018) in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling (Person-Centred with Psychodynamic)
CPCAB L5 Diploma (2025) in CBT.
I work as an Integrative Counsellor – my core training is in Person-Centred therapy integrated with Psychodynamic therapy. I also have further training in Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT). Integrative Counselling means that I can draw from different types of therapy to tailor an approach to the individual. I aim to develop a trusting, collaborative and non-judgmental relationship that helps you to develop self-awareness. I will put you and your needs at the centre of the work. We will go at your pace and look at what you want to bring and explore at the sessions.
I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association For Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹Դ´) and abide by their code of ethics.
My first session
Initially I offer a 50 minute introductory/assessment session for £60. This is an opportunity for us to meet, for you to discuss what you are hoping to gain from counselling and it will give you an idea of whether you feel that I am the right therapist for you. We can go over the contract and you can ask any questions you may have. At the end of the session, we can discuss moving forward with the counselling. Counselling Sessions are £60 for a 50 minute session.
I can offer Face-to-Face counselling in Cheltenham or Online counselling.
