About me and my therapy practice

  1. I offer integrative counselling and coaching, this is a holistic approach that combines various therapeutic techniques and coaching strategies to address the diverse needs of individuals. This method recognises that no single approach is universally effective and therefore integrates elements from different counselling theories and coaching models to create a tailored plan for each person.

By blending these practices, my practice aim to support individuals in achieving their personal and professional goals, enhancing their overall well-being, and fostering self-awareness and growth. This approach is particularly beneficial for those seeking a comprehensive and flexible method to navigate life's challenges and transitions.

Practice description

My work contains empathy and with compassion; involving understanding and sharing the feelings of clients, which helps build a strong therapeutic relationship. My approach is committed to working with clients from marginalised communities, ensuring that their unique experiences and challenges are acknowledged and addressed. Embracing neurodivergence as part of my passion for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) is fundamental to this practice, as it promotes a respectful and supportive environment where all individuals feel valued and understood in their journey towards personal growth and well-being.

Addressing specific issues such as anxiety and work-related stress, providing support for adults, children, and young people from various environments, which allows them to understand and address the unique challenges faced by individuals in different contexts. This broad experience ensures that the support provided is relevant and effective, helping clients navigate their personal and professional lives with greater resilience and confidence.

My first session

Before our first session, I will invite my clients to have a 10-minute call or online meeting to ensure I am suitable to support the client needs. This ensures that the client feels comfortable and confident in the support they will receive.

This initial conversation helps establish a connection and allows both the client and practitioner to determine if they are a good fit for working together.

The first session is aimed at answering some questions to gather what has brought you into counselling and coaching. The benefits of this meeting include setting clear expectations, addressing any initial concerns, and providing an opportunity for the client to ask questions.

After this assessment, there will be an opportunity for me to answer questions from you laying the foundation for a successful therapeutic relationship.

About me and my therapy practice

Create a space where sessions are explored and reflected on what we sometimes find difficult within supervision. I provide supportive and reflective practice, along with celebrating the positive outcomes of your work. as well as build resilience with the unclear or self-doubt and sometimes the 'stuckness' we sometime harbour with ourselves.

I am open, congruent, active listener and willing to encourage growth with my supervisees. Stretching supervisees by exploring alternative options available to them.

Practice description

Using the Seven-eyed Model of supervision, using all the core functions of the model to encourage reflective and reflexivity within supervision. In session, we will create a space where enable each other to work safely and to be able to generate ideas.

Being a neurodivergent, I have experienced and gained appropriate training that being a therapist can find difficult as well as being a client with neurodivergence.

I welcome discussions about Equality Diversity and Inclusion and safeguarding work, where we explore potential issues that may arise with clients.

My first session

Introductory conversation addressing how we are going to work together.

Supporting neurodivergent trainees and experienced therapists and enabling supervisees to create goals and receive support within practice. Work within ethical framework, governmental and organisational policies.

Explore working with EDI issues surrounding client and clinical work with supervisees.
