About me and my therapy practice
I am a person-centred counsellor and Focusing-oriented therapist based in NW10, offering online therapy in London. I work with adults for short and long-term counselling and therapy, and offer a warm, non-judgemental space in which to explore issues such as loss, anxiety, depression, feeling low, lost, or stuck.
I believe that being truly seen and heard, along with having the space and time to sort things through, can help you find your own answers and find your own way to cope with the harder times in life. By understanding yourself better you can develop self-knowledge, self-acceptance, and ultimately self-compassion.
I welcome neurodivergent clients, and offer a neurodiversity affirming way of working. I can work with late-diagnosed autistic adults to explore each person’s unique experience and personal understanding and acceptance, or on a range of issues but with a background understanding and acceptance of neurodiversity.
All messages are treated confidentially, although all I need at the beginning are your name and contact details. I offer a free 30-minute initial call, then an initial assessment session at a lower rate (£50)
Practice description
I’m passionate about how counselling can help people feel less isolated, and empower them to find their own answers. I work with adults from 18 to 80+ years old, with a special focus on those who are feeling lost or whose needs have got overlooked in life.
My approach offers person-centred non-judgemental curiosity and compassion, and also from Focusing-oriented therapy invites an awareness of what can emerge from our bodily felt sense. I can help with grounding and finding a way to be with difficult feelings in a less overwhelming way.
I know from my own experience how transformative it can be to have someone truly see you, truly hear you.
I offer both online video counselling, and face-to-face sessions in North West London in two locations: West Hampstead and Lonsdale Road in Queen’s Park.
My first session
In a first session we will talk together about what has brought you to seek counselling at this time. It is a chance for us to get to know each other a little, for me to see if my approach will suit your current needs, and for you to get a sense of what I am like before deciding whether you would like to continue to work together.
I will provide my privacy policy, and ask for details about your GP. During the session I will also ask some questions about your current mood, any other support you have, your health, and what you would like to get out of counselling. The session and all notes I take are confidential.
The session is held online or in person, lasts an hour (longer than a 50-minute therapy session) and costs £50
