About me and my therapy practice
Hello, and welcome to my profile.
Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety already runs in the background, your inner voice questions every decision, and then a major change arrives - becoming a parent, separating from a partner, adjusting as children grow more independent, or the death of someone close to you.
At times like these, anxiety and self-doubt can feel especially paralysing, making it hard to trust yourself, or know which way to turn.
I offer a warm, supportive, non-judgemental space where you can:
- Be truly heard
- Understand what's keeping you stuck
- Build confidence and self-trust
- Find your own path forward
Together, we can tailor the work to your experience, whether we focus on what's happening now, patterns from the past, or both.
How I work:
- Integrative, client-centred counselling
- In-person (Cobham, Surrey) or online sessions available
- Free 15-20 minute introductory call
Who I work with:
- Women (18+) dealing with:
- Anxiety & overwhelm
- Self-esteem & confidence struggles
- Life transitions
- Relationship patterns & attachment issues
- Self-doubt that feels relentless
Practice description
My office is based on a farm, just outside of Cobham, in Surrey. It's a comfortable and discrete environment, designed specifically to offer a therapeutic space. I love being in there - it feels so peaceful - and many others feel the same. There is off-road parking, as well as toilet facilities.
For online work, I use a platform called Doxy, which is secure and accessible. You can use Doxy on a smartphone, a tablet, a laptop, or a desktop computer - just so long as it has a camera, speakers, and a microphone. There is no need to download or install – I will send you a link to my meeting room ahead of our session. You just need to click on this at the time of your appointment. I will be notified that you have joined and then admit you to the session.
My first session
Once you have contacted me, we can arrange for a 20 minute telephone consultation, which is free and without obligation. Here you will be able to tell me what's brought you to counselling and what support you hope to find. During this call I will assess whether or not I am the right person for you, and likewise, you can make a judgement about whether or not I am the right therapist for you. If we both decide to go ahead, we can arrange a time for our first full session - which will either be in-person or online. This first session will typically include me asking more direct questions to gain a little more understanding about you, with subsequent sessions being more open and led by your needs.
I offer both long-term, open-ended therapy, where we can regularly review the work, or short-term counselling, focusing on one or two specific issues. I will always respect your autonomy and we will go at a pace to suit you.
