About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, accepting space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, memories and experiences at your own pace. My approach is grounded in connection—helping people feel more fully in touch with themselves, with others, and with the world around them. I bring experience working with health-related concerns, sexuality, gender identity and relationships, and my practice is shaped by a background in the LGBTIQ+ and homeless sectors. I also have a particular interest in body psychotherapy and wild therapy, which invite nature and somatic awareness into the healing process.
Whether you're navigating a period of change, seeking clarity, or simply needing a space to be heard, you will find a space where your identity is respected, your story is heard, and your healing is supported.
Practice description
I offer integrative counselling grounded in psychosynthesis, drawing from a range of psychological approaches to support each client’s unique journey. My practice is relational and responsive, shaped by the individual needs of those I work with. I incorporate person-centred principles—empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence (genuineness)—and work affirmatively with sexuality and gender identity.
I work with clients on a short-, medium-, or long-term basis, either in person in Hackney Central (E8) or online.
My first session
Our initial session is a gentle starting point—a chance for us to meet, get a sense of each other, and explore what brings you to counselling. You’ll have space to ask questions, learn more about how I work, and share anything you feel ready to about your background or current concerns. After the session, we’ll take time to reflect and decide whether it feels right to continue working together.
If we choose to move forward, we’ll agree on a framework for our sessions—this includes things like confidentiality, cancellations, and how often we’ll meet. We might begin with a commitment to eight sessions and review how things feel at that point. From there, you may decide that’s enough, or you might wish to continue for a further stretch or move into open-ended work.
