Availability

I have availability for new clients from January 2026. You are welcome to arrange a free initial consultation before then to see whether working together feels right for you.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a 麻豆原创-accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor and Advanced Accredited Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversity Therapist, with over ten years鈥 experience supporting adults with anxiety, trauma, identity and relationship difficulties.

I often work with people in demanding or public-facing roles 鈥 including media professionals, academics, entrepreneurs and individuals in high-profile positions. I also work with adults from a wide range of other backgrounds and life circumstances.

People usually contact me when something no longer feels manageable: panic or worry are getting in the way of daily life, past experiences are intruding, or a relationship feels stuck. You do not need to have the 鈥渞ight words鈥 or a clear plan 鈥 that is something we can work out together.

In sessions I offer a calm, steady space where you can talk openly and at your own pace. I work integratively, drawing on relational, trauma-informed and EMDR approaches. That might include both exploring patterns in your life and developing practical ways of coping in the present.

My background in psychology and gender studies, and my experience with LGBTQ+ communities, GSRD and neurodivergent clients, shape the way I practise. I am particularly interested in how culture, identity and early experiences influence how we feel about ourselves now, and in helping people develop a more secure, compassionate relationship with themselves.

Practice description

In our work together you can expect an exploratory, relational approach rather than a highly structured programme.

We will stay close to what feels most alive or pressing for you 鈥 for example easing anxiety, processing a particular trauma, or looking at how you manage relationships.

Many of my clients work in creative, academic or public-facing settings 鈥 such as media, higher education, start-ups and leadership roles 鈥 where there can be intense pressure to perform, limited privacy and little room to acknowledge vulnerability. Therapy can offer a confidential space outside those pressures to make sense of what is happening and how you want to respond.

I tend to pay attention to:

  • patterns in how you relate to others and to yourself
  • the impact of shame and self-criticism
  • how earlier experiences may be replaying in the present
  • your existing strengths, values and resources

When appropriate, I integrate EMDR, a structured method for processing traumatic or distressing memories. This is always done carefully and at a pace that feels safe for you.

My practice is LGBTQ+ affirmative, sex-affirmative, chemsex-aware and neurodiversity-affirming. I aim to make room for all aspects of who you are, including culture, gender, sexuality, relationships and family background.

I meet with clients weekly, and therapy can be short-term and focused or longer-term and open-ended, depending on what you are looking for and what feels sustainable.

I have a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, an MSc in Gender Studies (Intersectionality), a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, a Postgraduate Diploma in Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversity Therapy and am a qualified clinical supervisor, alongside further training in trauma-informed practice, EMDR, neurodiversity, gender/sexuality and creative therapies.

My first session

The first session is a chance for both of us to see whether working together feels right.

We will:

  • talk about what has brought you to therapy now
  • explore what you hope might be different in your life
  • go over how I work, including confidentiality and practical arrangements
  • decide together whether to book further sessions

I offer a free, no-obligation initial consultation so you can get a sense of me and ask any questions before committing. There is no expectation to share anything you are not ready to talk about. If it turns out that I am not the right person for you, I will do my best to suggest other options.

Sessions from £80.00

About me and my therapy practice

I believe supervision should be a place where you can breathe, reflect, and grow - both as a therapist and as a practice owner.

With over a decade in the field, I've experienced firsthand the challenges of building a sustainable practice. My approach combines thoughtful challenge with genuine support, creating a space where you can develop your unique therapeutic voice without burning out.

My Supervision Style

I aim to be:

  • Direct yet supportive - I'll ask challenging questions that might push you outside your comfort zone, but always with your development and your clients' needs in mind
  • Practically minded - Beyond theory, I'm here to help with the real-world challenges of private practice, from billing and administration, to marketing and self-care
  • Genuinely invested - I care deeply about helping my supervisees develop a practice that's both clinically excellent and personally sustainable

What You Can Expect

Our supervision will balance clinical development with practical support. Together we'll:

  • Explore client work with curiosity and depth
  • Address the business aspects of practice that training rarely covers
  • Create space for your self-care and professional boundaries
  • Celebrate successes and learn from setbacks

Areas of Experience

I bring particular experience in:

  • Integrative framework - I adopt a pluralistic approach to my work, having started out as an integrative therapist (psychodynamic and person-centred)
  • Building and sustaining a private practice - Having built my own successful practice, I can guide you through the practical realities of marketing, admin systems, and financial sustainability
  • Trauma-informed practice - Supporting your work with trauma presentations
  • Gender, Sexual, and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) - Supporting work with LGBTQ+ clients (themes such as shame, coming out, and identity) and diverse relationship structures

If you're looking for a supervisor who balances honesty with kindness and theory with practicality, please get in touch for a free initial chat.
