About me and my therapy practice
I work integrativey using psychodynamic theory and person centered theory. This means I explore your past with you to help you look for patterns that may appear in your current presenting experience. This insight can help support understanding of how changes can be made if you decide to make them helping to improve your life.
I also use CBT techniques with clients. CBT can help you identify thoughts that prompt your behaviour some of which may not be helpful or identify the useful ones too that support good decisions. CBT often involves an element of homework.
Practice description
In a fast changing world, taking time to slow down and explore your needs in therapy sessions can have amazing benefits. I work to support individuals who are ready to explore some of life's painful losses and adverse experience that we can all face at one time or another. I work to support people flourish and become experts on who they are so they can live out their potential. I use talking therapy , giving individuals a space they may not otherwise have. A time to be heard without judgement. The sessions last for 50 minutes and the number of sessions can be discussed at the first session.
My first session
During the first session I will make an assessment this is charged a session rate. This will give me the opportunity to asses if I can meet the needs of the client and for the client to decide if they would like to work with me, which is most important.
