About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced licensed psychologist with a demonstrated history of working in the mental health care industry. I hold an MRes in Cognitive Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation from the University of Birmingham, UK and an Advanced Diploma focused in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy from Applied Psychotherapy and Counselling Centre, in Athens. In 2019, I completed my training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for chronic suicidal patients from the Linehan's Institute (Behavioral Tech) and the Greek Association of Behavioral Research.In 2020 I continued my training in 3rd wave cognitive therapies and in 2021 I completed my basic training in Acceptance and Commitment therapy in the Institute of Research and Behavioral Therapy, in Athens.During my training and consultation meetings, trauma therapy caught my attention, it reasonated with my neuroscience studies and my cognitive behavioral background, and on 2023 I completed my training in EMDR psychotherapy. Currently I work on my skills on becoming a certified EMDR practitioner, and use effectively all my aforementioned skills in my practice.

Practice description

I apply CBT Psychotherapy, third wave Cognitive Therapies (Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and EMDR therapy in adult population.

I also apply DBT Psychotherapy in chronic suicidal patients, which involves individual therapy and skills training in a group format.
