About me and my therapy practice
I’m a Counsellor and EMDR Therapist who helps people make sense of what’s been weighing them down emotionally, so they can begin to feel calmer, lighter, and more connected to themselves again.
I offer a gentle blend of talk therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), helping you process difficult experiences and emotions in a way that feels safe and contained.
You might come to therapy feeling anxious, low, stuck, or simply worn out from holding it all together. Perhaps you appear fine on the outside, but inside you feel tangled, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start. That’s okay, we’ll take it step by step.
My approach is kind, compassionate, and heart-led. I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can untangle your feelings, understand your patterns, and begin to feel more at ease with yourself. Together, we’ll explore what’s been happening in your life, the past and the present, so you can see things more clearly, heal what hurts, and create lasting emotional change.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, childhood issues, and the effects of trauma and bullying.
As an Integrative Relational Therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs. I’m also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Attachment-Informed EMDR Therapist, which means I bring specialist knowledge and sensitivity when working with emotional wounds and early life experiences.
Therapy isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping you reconnect with who you truly are.
Qualifications:
BSc Hons Psychology
Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing)
Attachment-Informed EMDR
Certified Clinical Trauma Professional
DDP Level 1 & 2 (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy)
* Please contact me for a FREE 30 min telephone consultation.
* I offer discounts for block booking of 6 or 12 sessions and a special rate for student counsellors.
Practice description
I work from a quiet, calm therapy room at Manor Consulting Rooms in Cottingley, conveniently located between Shipley and Bingley. It’s a peaceful, private space designed to help you feel safe and at ease from the moment you arrive.
If you prefer, sessions are also available online via Zoom, offering the same supportive environment from the comfort of your own space.
My first session
I know the first session can feel a little daunting, especially if you’ve never had therapy before. Think of it as a gentle conversation, a space to get to know each other and talk about what’s been happening in your life and what you’re hoping for from therapy.
There’s no pressure to have everything figured out. We’ll go at your pace, exploring what’s brought you here and what feels most important right now. I’ll also take some background information and explain how I work, so you have a clear sense of what to expect.
You’re welcome to ask any questions along the way. This time is as much for you to get a feel for me as it is for me to understand you.
If you’re unsure about booking a first session, I offer a free 30-minute telephone consultation so we can talk things through and see if it feels like a good fit.

About me and my therapy practice
My approach to supervision is integrative, relational, and reflective. I use the 7-eyed model of supervision to offer a supportive and collaborative space where you can explore your client work and your own process as a practitioner.
My therapeutic framework integrates person-centred and heart-led values with Attachment and EMDR-informed practice. I bring curiosity, compassion, and trauma awareness to the supervision process, supporting you to develop professionally while maintaining your emotional wellbeing.
Alongside my clinical work, I also have over 6 years' experience as a counselling tutor on the Level 4 Diploma, which deepens my understanding of the training process and the developmental needs of trainee and newly qualified counsellors.

My first session
Choosing a supervisor is an important decision, and it’s essential that the relationship feels like a good fit. Supervision is a space for reflection, growth, and support. A place where you can bring both your challenges and your successes, and feel understood as a whole person, not just as a practitioner.
If you’re considering supervision with me, you’re welcome to arrange a free 30-minute telephone consultation. This gives us an opportunity to talk about your current work, your needs from supervision, and to see whether my approach feels right for you.
I currently have limited availability on Thursdays (as of November 2025). All other sessions are fully booked, with a short waiting list in place.
If you’re interested in working together — or simply exploring whether we might be a good fit — please get in touch. I’d be happy to have a conversation.
