Availability
I currently have availability for new clients. I offer face-to-face sessions on Tuesdays, and online sessions on Thursdays and selected weekday evenings. If I am unable to offer an immediate space, I’m happy to discuss upcoming availability or add you to my waiting list if you choose.
You are welcome to book a free introductory call directly through my online calendar here: https://calendly.com/counsellingwithlauraclark/15
I aim to reply to all messages within 48 hours (Tuesday–Thursday). Enquiries received outside of these days will be responded to as soon as I am back in the office.
I take regular planned breaks throughout the year to support my wellbeing and ensure I can be fully present for my clients. Any upcoming time away will be communicated in advance, and we can work together to plan for continuity of support.
If you would like to check availability, book a call, or ask any questions before starting therapy, please feel free to get in touch.
About me and my therapy practice
I’m Laura, an integrative counsellor offering a calm, supportive space for you to talk openly and without judgement. My practice, Counselling with Laura Clark, is rooted in empathy, compassion and a belief that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you as you explore what’s feeling difficult, reconnect with yourself, and find a way forward that feels right for you.
My background of experience includes working with young adults, families, SEND, mentoring and life-coaching. Additionally, I'm a mum of one, and this includes being a parent-carer.
I work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, overwhelm and life transitions. I have a particular passion for supporting mums and parent/carers who may be juggling the emotional load of caring for others while trying to maintain their own wellbeing. Whether you’re feeling burnt out, lost in your identity, or struggling to cope day-to-day, therapy can offer a space to breathe and be heard.
My approach is gentle, collaborative and paced to suit you. Together we’ll explore your experiences, patterns and feelings at a depth that feels safe. I will always check in with you about what’s working, what you need, and how you would like our sessions to feel. I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to healing, and I aim to build a warm, trusting connection where you feel truly understood.
I offer face-to-face sessions on Tuesdays, and online sessions on Thursdays and selected evenings, providing flexibility to fit around busy family or work life. You’re welcome to book a free introductory call through my online calendar to see whether we feel like a good fit: https://calendly.com/counsellingwithlauraclark/15
If you have any questions or would like to talk about what you’re hoping for from therapy, please feel free to get in touch. I’d be glad to support you.
Practice description
Counselling with Laura Clark is a gentle, integrative practice offering both face-to-face and online therapy in a calm and welcoming space. My approach is grounded in empathy, acceptance and a genuine commitment to understanding your unique experiences. I believe that therapy works best when you feel truly heard, valued and supported, and I aim to create an environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
In our sessions, you can expect a warm, grounded presence and a collaborative way of working. I will never tell you what to do or push you in a direction that doesn’t feel right. Instead, I support you in exploring what is happening in your inner world, helping you connect with your own wisdom, build self-awareness and develop confidence in your choices. Therapy is your space, and together we shape it to meet your needs.
My practice offers support with a range of challenges including anxiety, stress, overwhelm, self-esteem, identity, relationship difficulties, and the emotional load that often comes with parenting or caring for others. Many clients come to me feeling stuck, exhausted or unsure of themselves, and together we work towards clarity, grounding and a stronger sense of self.
Face-to-face sessions take place on Tuesdays, with online sessions available on Thursdays and selected evenings, giving flexibility to fit around busy personal or family routines. I welcome adults of all backgrounds and life stages, and aim to make therapy an accessible, non-judgemental space where you can safely express whatever you’re holding.

My first session
Your first session with me is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and explore what has brought you to therapy. Sessions are £45, and the initial session is charged at the same rate as all ongoing sessions.
During this first meeting, I’ll invite you to share what you’re hoping for from counselling and any particular challenges you’re facing. There is no pressure to go into anything before you feel ready — we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. As an integrative counsellor, I will begin to get a sense of which approaches may best support you, but the focus of this session is simply to understand your needs and ensure you feel safe and heard.
I will also take some brief background information to help me understand your current situation and support you appropriately. This isn’t a formal or clinical assessment, but rather a gentle conversation to help us both decide whether working together feels like a good fit.
The first session is also a chance for you to ask any questions about therapy, how I work, confidentiality, or what to expect from our time together. There is no obligation to continue if it doesn’t feel right — what matters most is that you feel comfortable with your counsellor.
