I am a skilled, experienced, & conscientious Psychodynamic Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I provide professional, effective long-term treatment for young people & adults seeking meaningful, lasting psychological change.
About me and my therapy practice
People often come to therapy wanting immediate relief from distress, but Psychotherapy often leads to a deeper, more genuine understanding of oneself. I work with young people & adults in developing meaningful & lasting changes in themselves & their relationships.
Much of what shapes how we think & feel happens outside our awareness. We repeat familiar patterns, particularly in relationships, we overthink, we get stuck, without fully understanding why. Psychodynamic Psychotherapy helps bring these patterns into awareness to be explored&understood.
We pay attention to what emerges in your life & within the therapy relationship itself. Change develops through this shared process of reflection and understanding, helping you to know yourself more fully & relate to others in more satisfying ways.
I encourage speaking freely about whatever feels important, thoughts, emotions, memories, experiences, at your own pace. I don't diagnose or offer advice,
We don't focus on symptoms alone, but on getting to know the many parts of 'you'. The aim is not to provide quick fixes, but to support you in developing a more honest & compassionate relationship with yourself, leading to greater choice, agency, & emotional freedom.
I have over 13 years' experience across varying sectors including Private, Charitable trusts, Community Mental Health & Higher Education, working 10 years at a London university Counselling Service supporting students & several years at Mind with adults experiencing distress linked to hearing voices, paranoia, mood instability & personality disorders.

My fee is £85 per session. I do not charge for the initial phone consultation. I am currently unable to offer concessionary rates.
At the moment I am unable to meet with anyone under the age of 17.
My first session
Initial call: You are welcome to contact me for an initial 30 mins phone call. There is no charge for this.
Assessment appointment: the initial call is an opportunity to decide if meeting in person feels right, and if so, and we will arrange to meet in-person for an Assessment appointment.
The assessment provides an opportunity to get a deeper understanding of your concerns, needs, family history and any expectations you might have. If it doesn't feel right to meet again, for any reason, there is no pressure to continue.
Otherwise, we will arrange a suitable day and time to meet for ongoing once-weekly 50mins sessions.
In certain circumstances, it might be more appropriate to meet twice a week, but we can think about this during our time together.
Sessions take place on an ongoing basis either face-to-face or online. I am able to offer options for short-term work should this feel more appropriate. Everything is an opportunity for discussion during the initial call and assessment.
