About me and my therapy practice
Life can throw many challenges our way. These experiences can deeply affect our wellbeing. Whether you’re currently facing a difficult period or seeking to move beyond past wounds that still hold you back, therapy can offer a valuable path forward.
I strive to offer a confidential and compassionate space where you can openly explore personal challenges, deepen your self-awareness, and build emotional resilience. This is also a place to nurture your autonomy and strengthen your confidence in making decisions about your life. At times, it may be a supportive environment to understand and come to terms with a diagnosis, or to explore your identity and neurodivergence alongside someone who truly understands the complexities involved in that journey.
My integrative approach includes several theories, such as: transactional analysis, person-centred therapy, CBT, attachment and early relationship work, DBT (dialectical behavioural therapy), and broader psychological principles. This blend gives me the flexibility to tailor our work to best suit your unique needs.
I currently work with a broad range of concerns, including:
- Depression and various forms of anxiety (generalised, social, separation)
- Low mood, feelings of sadness, and emotional distress
- Family issues, trauma, and experiences of abuse
- Relationship difficulties and loss
- Work-related stress and general stress
- Self-injury, harm, and suicidal thoughts
- Personality disorders*
- Autism, ADHD, AuDHD
- Emotion dysregulation
- Sensory dysregulation and sensory profiling
If any of this resonates with you, I am happy to discuss further with you.
*Please note that I do not offer one-to-one DBT therapy to individuals or for those experiencing borderline personality disorder (BPD). Such treatment is typically provided by specialised DBT programmes that include group therapy components. However, my approach is informed by DBT principles, alongside other therapeutic modalities, to support a comprehensive and integrative practice.
Practice description
I currently run my own private practice and have previously worked as a counselling trainer in higher education. Alongside my practice, I also collaborate with service providers who support people facing complex mental health challenges both locally and nationally, providing psychotherapy and facilitating DBT groups.
With extensive experience working with young people, adolescents, and young adults through a dedicated young person’s counselling agency and private practice, I also support adults navigating a wide range of mental health concerns and everyday life difficulties.
Psychotherapy and long-term psychological work can be a powerful part of your healing journey. Everyone’s process and timeframe are unique, and we’ll explore what feels right for you as we work together. In our sessions, I blend talking therapies with practical tools, including DBT skills, to help you manage different challenges — all tailored specifically to your needs and agreed upon collaboratively.
My qualifications are:
- MSc in Psychology
- Postgraduate Certificate in Supervision (Level 6)
- Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Level 5)
- Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Level 4)
In addition to therapy, I provide Therapeutic Supervision for both individuals and groups.

My first session
To start, I offer a complimentary 20-minute conversation over the phone or Zoom. This gives us a chance to explore what you’re looking for in therapy, explain how I work, and see if we feel like a good fit for each other.
After this, I’ll share detailed information about the services I provide for you to consider at your own pace. If needed, I’m also happy to suggest alternative options that might better suit your needs.
Our first full session allows me to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges you’re facing, build our working relationship, and answer any questions you may have. Together, we’ll explore how best to work collaboratively. We’ll also agree on how our therapeutic relationship will function, including important professional aspects such as confidentiality and its limits.
Opening up about personal experiences during the first session can feel unfamiliar or even uncomfortable, and that’s completely normal. Please rest assured that your wellbeing and safety are at the centre of everything I do. As part of the process, I collect some basic information — including contact details, emergency contacts, your GP’s information, and relevant personal history — all of which is stored securely and handled in line with GDPR guidelines.

Availability
I currently have space to support two supervisees - one trainee and one qualified professional.
Supervision appointments are available during daytime hours, with an additional evening slot to offer greater flexibility.
My usual working days are Monday through Thursday. I provide advance notice of any holiday periods and offer alternative dates to ensure continuity and timely supervision during my absence.
About me and my therapy practice
My supervision practice is grounded in a relational approach informed by the 7-eyed model, which allows for a rich and reflective exploration of your work. I aim to build a trusting and collaborative relationship with you, one that supports your professional development and deepens your understanding of client work.
As a supervisor, my role is to support, encourage, and guide you when needed, always working within the Â鶹Դ´ ethical framework that underpins my practice. I also help supervisees develop awareness of their own phenomenological responses and emotional reactions, including recognising countertransference and learning to manage emotional material with confidence and care.
I view supervision as a meaningful and dynamic part of your professional career or training journey. From our very first session, my intention is to offer a space that is grounded in empathy, openness, and respect. I believe the supervisory relationship is a powerful tool for growth - helping you build confidence, expand / strengthen your knowledge, strengthen ethical awareness, and navigate the complexities of therapeutic work with clarity and integrity.
My approach aims to create a collaborative supervision experience that feels supportive, reflective, and tailored to your evolving needs.
Supervision is available both face-to-face and online, offering flexibility to suit your needs and preferences.
Practice description
My integrative approach draws on a range of well-established theories, including transactional analysis, person-centred therapy, CBT, attachment and early relationship work, DBT (dialectical behavioural therapy), and broader psychological principles. This diverse foundation allows me to tailor supervision in a way that best fits each supervisee’s unique context.
As a trainer, I am also knowledgeable about additional approaches and experienced with the CPCAB helping model and portfolio building. I take a collaborative approach in supervision, especially with those who appreciate applying theoretical concepts practically in their work.
My supervision experience spans a variety of areas, and I work with supervisees across diverse settings such as schools, universities, charitable organisations, and private practice.
Some of the areas I have worked in include clients experiencing:
- Depression and various forms of anxiety (generalised, social, separation)
- Low mood, feelings of sadness, and emotional distress
- Family issues, trauma, and experiences of abuse
- Relationship difficulties and loss
- Work-related stress and general stress
- Self-injury, harm, and suicidal thoughts
- Personality disorders*
- Autism, ADHD, and AuDHD
- Emotion dysregulation
- Sensory dysregulation and sensory profiling
While much of my work has been with adolescents and young adults, I do not limit my focus to any particular age range.
My first session
To begin, I offer a complimentary 20-minute conversation over the phone or Zoom. This gives us a chance to explore your needs and see if our approaches are a good match.
Our first supervision session is an important opportunity to understand your supervision needs and establish a strong foundation for our work together. During this initial meeting, we’ll take time to get to know each other, discuss your current experience and explore your goals and expectations.
This conversation helps us create a collaborative space where you feel safe and supported. For example, we’ll also clarify practical details such as frequency, session format, and any specific areas of development. Together, we’ll agree on how to work ethically and effectively within the Â鶹Դ´ framework, including confidentiality and boundaries, in addition to how we will structure sessions and how to use the time effectively.
I encourage you to bring any questions or thoughts you have, as this session is as much about your comfort and confidence in the process as it is about outlining our working relationship.
If working together, we will collaboratively establish an agreement outlining the parameters and expectations of our work together.
