About me and my therapy practice

Counsellor & Coach | Neuroaffirming Practice

I am a dual-qualified counsellor and coach, which means I can offer more than one way of working. What you need from session to session can shift, and I adapt accordingly. Sometimes I work more therapeutically to explore painful feelings or past experiences. Sometimes, more practically, on what needs to change. Usually, it is a mixture of both, responding to what you need in that moment.

I am late-diagnosed with ADHD. I know firsthand what it feels like to reach adulthood, wondering why certain things are so much harder, and what it means to finally get answers. My practice is neuroaffirming; I work with how your brain operates, not against it.

Counselling

I work with anxiety, depression, low self-worth, grief, burnout, relationship problems, life transitions, and personal crisis. I also support people exploring identity, those coming to terms with illness, and people struggling with a loss of purpose or direction.

Therapy with me is collaborative and works at your pace. Some people come knowing exactly what they want to address. Others arrive with a general sense that something is not right but cannot yet name it. Wherever you are is the right place to start.

I have a particular interest in people who have spent years feeling they do not quite fit, whether through neurodivergence, cultural background, or sexuality. I understand that experience both personally and professionally.

ADHD Coaching

I offer coaching for adults with ADHD or those who suspect they may be neurodivergent. When deeper feelings come up, my counselling background means I can hold that space without needing to refer you on.

About me

Born in Vietnam and raised in the UK, with a creative background as a producer and photographer, I have personal experience of cultural displacement and searching for identity. I have particular experience supporting second-generation Asian clients, balancing family expectations with their own sense of self.

Practice description

I am trained as both a Psychosynthesis counsellor and coach. Psychosynthesis sits at the heart of my practice. It is an approach that looks at the whole person, not just the presenting problem, and pays attention to meaning, purpose, and potential alongside pain and difficulty.

In sessions, I work intuitively, blending counselling and coaching as needed. Some moments call for slowing down to explore feelings or make sense of an experience. Others call for a more practical, forward-focused approach. Being trained in both means I can move between the two without it feeling jarring, and without you needing to see separate people for separate needs.

I use a variety of ways to explore what is going on for you, beyond just talking. I might suggest using worksheets or creative activities such as guided visualisation, working with photos or images, drawing, and journalling. These are always optional and offered gently.

All sessions are held online via Zoom, which works well for people with busy lives, caring responsibilities, or those who find it difficult to access in-person therapy due to health, mobility, or location.

We can work short-term around a specific issue, or longer-term to explore deeper patterns over time. We can decide together what makes most sense for you.

My first session

Getting in touch for the first time can feel like a big step. I want to make that as easy as possible.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory call so you can get a sense of who I am and how I work, ask any questions, and share a little about what has brought you here. There is no pressure or commitment at this stage.

If it feels like a good fit for both of us, we arrange an initial session. This is a longer conversation where I can learn more about you, your background, and what you are struggling with or hoping to change. It gives us both a proper chance to see whether working together feels right before we commit to anything further.

From there, we agree on a way of working that suits your needs, whether that is short-term, longer-term, counselling, coaching, or a blend of both.

Please get in touch by email and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
