About me and my therapy practice

I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds. My aim is to help you find a way to live a more fulfilling life. Often, this means getting unstuck from unhelpful patterns.

I offer an initial appointment with no obligations. You can say more about your situation and ask questions. I will say more about how I work.

Initial appointment 拢40; appointments 拢60

I have been in private practice since 2016 and have a Master's Degree and a Diploma in psychotherapy.

How I work

Counselling is a chance to talk about topics and feelings you can't discuss with family and friends. We can talk about anger, anxiety, depression 鈥 and topics such as work, relationships, addiction, sex, money, illness, anything.

If something is difficult to talk about, there is no rush. On the other hand, you might like to go straight to the heart of the matter.

We are all different. My aim is to help you find your own voice and way of being in the world.

I have an interest in how our experiences growing up can affect us. The way we were brought up and upsetting incidents in the home and at school, etc, can have a big impact. Looking at these experiences can help make sense of them and help us to feel better.

Another approach is to ask: 鈥淲hat keeps happening?鈥 We can get stuck in patterns and types of relationship, and looking at these can help break the cycle.

Counselling can also be used to explore life鈥檚 big questions: 鈥淲hat is life for and how can I make the most of it?鈥 To this end, I have an interest in religious and spiritual topics, but I have no personal agenda.

Counselling can be challenging, but it can also be exciting to discover new ideas and ways of being in the world.

I invite you to bring whatever is on your mind. Sometimes our thoughts race and it is difficult to relax. I might suggest breathing or mindfulness exercises.

Availability

I'm offering supervision online. Although there may be chances to meet in person on occasion, either in Hillingdon or Ealing. Likely available slots are Wednesday afternoon, Thursday afternoon and Friday morning, but other slots will come up. Please enquire.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists who are working one-to-one with adults.

I have an MA and Diploma in Integrative/Transpersonal Counselling & Psychotherapy from CCPE, London, and a Supervision Diploma from Re-Vision, London. I have been in private practice as a therapist since 2016.

Appointments last 50 minutes (counts as 1 hour for training/accreditation) or 75 minutes (counts as 1.5 hours). Other arrangements are possible.

Emergencies (if I am your primary supervisor): something may happen with a client that you feel requires immediate attention. If possible, I am happy to help with this. If you send a text or email, I will respond as soon as I can to arrange a free 5-10-minute chat, or we can arrange an extra paid-for session.

Practice description

As an integrative therapist, I can offer supervision in your modality. I can also offer theory and ideas to help you broaden your way of working.

I specialise in working relationally with a focus on psychodynamic theory, trauma, and parts work (such as subpersonalities). I also draw upon existential theory, with an interest in the spiritual and philosophical questions we all face.

I seek to draw upon my experience to work with you in ways that are helpful for your practice. My commitment is to honour the trust you place in me and support you in your client work, your professional development, and your well-being as a therapist.

I invite you to be open about your client work, especially those things you find difficult. The more you feel able to share, the easier it will be for us to find interesting strategies together.

I also invite you to speak openly about your own feelings and life circumstances because this can impact on client work. So, while supervision is not personal therapy, we can explore how to sit with your own material as part of your practice.

My first session

Before our first session, I will send you some information about how I work, covering topics such as payment and cancellations.

My style is to welcome feedback and discuss what is coming up for you as we go along. This means we can adjust how we are working to make sure supervision is benefiting you.
