About me and my therapy practice

Hello and Welcome!

Whatever stage of your life you're currently negotiating, I offer an authentic space where we can talk and explore what it is to be you. Our work will be safe, confidential and accepting of whatever is troubling you.

The experience of being a client with me will be relational, curious and collaborative – you won’t get any blank stares here.

Although I have worked with a wide variety of clients over the last 10 years, I specialise in treating trauma of all kinds, particularly relational trauma caused by a difficult upbringing, a complex family system or narcissistic parenting. Being late-diagnosed ADHD myself, I also enjoy working with clients who are ADHD, Autistic or AuDHD, whether diagnosed or self-diagnosed, who may be working to fully accept who they are.

As a trainee of EMDR, I am currently bringing this modality into the work where appropriate (please see website for further details of how I work).

I work as a Senior Therapist at The Priory Hospital and with Rockabye CIC, a Bristol-based organisation offering perinatal groups. As such, I have experiences with more complex mental health and working with attachment across the lifecycle.

As well as being a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor of adults, I am a qualified practitioner of therapeutic play. When working face-to-face, I offer sandtray therapy and other creative options to work at an unconscious level.

I consider myself an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and have experience of gender fluidity from within my family. I have knowledge of alternative relationship styles (ENM etc) and I'm actively working on myself to identify, reflect and unpick internalised racism and ableism.

Practice description

My practice is a light and airy Georgian high-ceilinged room in central Bristol. I can also offer online working.
