I offer counselling for individuals (adults and young people aged 11+), couples and any kind of relationship; parent and adult child, siblings, friends or colleagues and I can also provide group sessions.
I work with several Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) as well as with Bupa and the following insurance providers: Aviva, AXA Health, Vitality, and WPA.
Sessions are available online, by phone, in person (in WA7) or a mix of these, depending on what suits you best.
I work Monday to Thursday and aim to offer as much flexibility as possible, including early morning, daytime and evening appointments. However, my diary can fill quickly, so booking early is recommended.
Since 2006, I鈥檝e supported people through many of life鈥檚 challenges, including anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, and grief. I also worked for ten years as a relationship counsellor with Relate.
If you鈥檙e facing a difficult decision or navigating a loss - whether bereavement or another kind of endings (including the loss of a pet), I can help you untangle what鈥檚 happening so you feel more able to choose your next steps.
For couples, I follow a structured approach: an extended joint session first, followed by one individual session for each partner, then a return to joint work when safe and appropriate. In some situations - such as where domestic abuse, substance misuse, or coercive control is present - couples work may not be suitable. Your safety is always the priority.
In addition to ongoing therapy, I offer:
鈥 Email Therapy 鈥 for those who prefer writing.
鈥 Single Session Therapy 鈥 one focused session (up to 100 minutes) to explore a specific issue and possible ways forward.
鈥 Rewind Trauma Therapy 鈥 a gentle, non-intrusive approach to working with trauma. Please contact me to see if it鈥檚 suitable.
鈥 Group Counselling or Supervision 鈥 available by arrangement.
If you鈥檇 like to discuss your needs or check whether I have a suitable slot, feel free to get in touch for a no-obligation chat.
About me and my therapy practice
Whether you鈥檙e seeking support for yourself, your teen or your relationship, I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can be heard, reflect and explore what鈥檚 going on.
Life can feel overwhelming, confusing or stuck at times - and that鈥檚 completely normal. In our sessions, you鈥檒l be accepted as you are and encouraged to find your choice of the way forward, even if that means taking things slowly or doing nothing for now. It鈥檚 your life, and your choice.
My approach is collaborative and responsive. Some sessions may simply be about being truly heard; others may focus on finding solutions or making changes. We鈥檒l work at your pace, guided by what feels most helpful to you in the moment and session.
I offer short-term, long-term, or single-session support, in person in Runcorn (WA7), online via Zoom, by phone, or a mix of these, whatever works best for you.
I鈥檓 neurodivergent and LGBTQ friendly and welcome clients who are diagnosed, self-diagnosed, or exploring their identity. I bring both lived experience and professional training to this work.
As a 麻豆原创-accredited counsellor I believe therapy isn鈥檛 about 鈥渇ixing鈥 you. It鈥檚 about reconnecting with your own strengths, choices and direction, so you feel more able to move forward in your life.
Practice description
I鈥檓 an accredited, integrative counsellor which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches - including person-centred therapy, transactional analysis (TA) and systemic and attachment-based approaches - to tailor our work to what feels most helpful for you.
Whether you鈥檙e dealing with something from the past, something happening now, or worries about the future, I鈥檒l use the tools and ideas that best support you in understanding and navigating your experience.
I enjoy working with individuals, young people (11+), couples, relationships and groups. I also welcome clients who are neurodivergent or exploring neurodivergence - while I don鈥檛 claim to be an 鈥渆xpert,鈥 I aim to provide an affirming, supportive, and understanding space for everyone.
For couples, we begin with an extended joint session, followed by one individual session for each person, then we return to joint working, when safe and appropriate to do so. In situations involving domestic abuse, addiction, or coercive control, joint work may not be suitable. Your safety and wellbeing are always my priority.
Couples come to counselling for many reasons: to reconnect, improve communication, make important decisions, or separate with care - particularly when children are involved.
I also offer counselling and supervision for groups, and I鈥檓 happy to discuss what might work best for your needs.

Availability
I鈥檓 an accredited, integrative counsellor and clinical supervisor, offering one-to-one and / or group supervision to counsellors, supervisors, students / trainees and other helping professionals.
I currently have some availability and would be happy to arrange a free, informal chat by phone, Zoom, or in person (if you're local to WA7) so we can get a sense of whether we鈥檇 be a good fit. You鈥檙e welcome to ask any questions, and I鈥檒l do the same. No pressure, just a chance to explore.
I enjoy working with both experienced practitioners and trainees. Whether you're looking for regular individual supervision, a supportive supervision group or, something more flexible to fit your training requirements, I鈥檇 be glad to talk it through with you.
Trainees often need flexible arrangements - monthly or fortnightly supervision, sessions of different lengths, or a mix. Just let me know what you鈥檙e looking for. Discounted rates are available for students / trainees and newly qualified counsellors with less than five clients - feel free to ask me about this.
I鈥檓 collaborative, practical and empathic, with a good sense of humour and many years of experience to support you through whatever arises in your work.
If we do connect, here鈥檚 something to consider: Would you feel comfortable bringing me a 鈥渄aft鈥 question or a difficult day? If the answer鈥檚 yes, then we may be a good match.
Feel free to get in touch - I usually respond to emails the same day (if you don鈥檛 get a reply, please check your spam folder) and I will return phone messages as soon as possible (sometimes this will be the next working day).
About me and my therapy practice
I completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision in April 2021.
I use the Seven-Eyed Model, which allows us to look at your work from several different perspectives. This includes your relationship with your client, what may be happening for the client, how you experience the work emotionally and physically and how wider systems and contexts may be influencing the work. Using this model helps ensure supervision is reflective, ethical and well-rounded, while keeping the focus on what is most useful for you and your practice.
My approach to supervision is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in real practice. I aim to create a space where you feel supported to think deeply about your work, develop confidence in your clinical judgement, and stay ethically and emotionally resourced. I work interactively, drawing on a range of models and perspectives to suit you, your clients and your setting.
I enjoy working with both experienced practitioners and those in training. Supervision with me can be structured and containing, whilst also flexible and responsive to what you need - whether that鈥檚 regular ongoing support or group supervision.
I understand that trainees often need flexibility, such as monthly or fortnightly sessions, different session lengths, or a mix of formats. I鈥檓 happy to discuss what will best support your learning and development and discounted rates are available for trainees and newly qualified counsellors (with less than five clients).
I鈥檓 collaborative, practical and empathic, with a good sense of humour and many years of experience to draw on when work feels complex, stuck, or emotionally demanding.
A useful way to gauge whether we might be a good fit is this: would you feel comfortable bringing me a 鈥渄aft鈥 question or talking openly about a difficult day? If the answer is yes, then we鈥檙e likely to work well together.
Practice description
I offer clinical supervision that is thoughtful, supportive and grounded in everyday practice. My aim is to provide a space where you can reflect openly on your work, feeling safe in discomfort whilst developing your clinical thinking and yet, still feel both supported and appropriately challenged.
I work with counsellors at different stages of their careers, including trainees, newly qualified practitioners, experienced counsellors and supervisors. I aim to create an atmosphere where curiosity is encouraged and it feels safe to bring uncertainty, mistakes, strong feelings, or 鈥渄aft鈥 questions, as well as successes.
One-to-One Supervision
Individual supervision offers a confidential, focused space tailored to your needs. Sessions can be reflective, exploratory or, more structured, depending on what is most helpful for you at that time. I offer sessions online, by phone, or in person (WA7).
鈥 拢55 for 60 minutes
鈥 拢75 for 90 minutes
Payment is in advance; this confirms your session.
Group Supervision
Group supervision can be a rich and supportive way to reduce isolation, share perspectives, and learn alongside peers. My groups are warm, respectful and professionally boundaried, with space for both depth and lightness. Groups include a mix of modalities and levels of experience and I work to ensure everyone has time and a voice within the group.
Current online groups:
鈥 1st Monday of the month at 1:15pm (Relationship counsellors) 鈥 1 place available
鈥 1st Wednesday of the month at 9:15am (General counsellors)
鈥 2nd Thursday of the month at 12:45pm (Individual and couples work counsellors)
The fee is 拢30 for a 2-hour monthly group
I鈥檓 also open to setting up new groups for colleges, workplaces, or established peer groups.
If you鈥檙e interested in supervision, I鈥檓 happy to offer a free, informal conversation to explore whether our working together feels like a good fit.
My first session
Before our first supervision session, we鈥檒l usually have had a brief call or meeting to get a sense of it we鈥檇 be a good fit for working together. This first supervision gives us both another chance to ask questions and get a sense of it feels to work alongside one another.
Once you decide to go ahead, I鈥檒l send you a supervision agreement (for individual or group supervision). You鈥檙e very welcome to read through this in advance, but I ask that you wait until after our first session to sign it. It鈥檚 important to me that you feel fully comfortable and confident before making any commitment.
In our first session, we鈥檒l take time to go through any questions you have about the agreement or how I work. From there, we鈥檒l begin focusing on your client work, professional reflections or whatever feels most relevant and useful for you on the day.
If you鈥檙e joining a supervision group, you鈥檒l be warmly welcomed. The existing group members will introduce themselves, and you鈥檒l then have space to share a little about yourself before we move into the usual group process.
Payment Terms
鈥 Payment is required in advance to confirm your supervision
鈥 For regular groups or fortnightly sessions, I ask for monthly payment in advance
(for example, if there are two sessions in the month, both are paid before the first supervision of that month)
Reports for Trainees
I regularly write supervision reports for CPCAB (50/100-hour), placement mid-points, and 麻豆原创 accreditation. These are completed collaboratively - we鈥檒l create a draft version together before I finalise the report.
Please note: reports are charged at my standard one-hour supervision rate. If more time is needed, I鈥檒l discuss this with you in advance.
If you鈥檙e looking for a supervisor who will listen carefully, reflect thoughtfully and gently challenge when helpful as well as support your ongoing development, I鈥檇 be very happy to hear from you.
Let鈥檚 have a conversation and see whether we鈥檙e a good fit.
