About me and my therapy practice
My initial training was in Person Centred Counselling, the course also touched on Focusing and other modalities like CBT. Since qualifying I have trained to use creativity and Forest Therapy.
Person-centred Counselling is about providing a space in which you can be yourself in. You are free to use the space to talk about what you want to talk about. At your own pace, in your own way. I will be beside you, listening and sensitively reflecting back what I am understanding to help you find your way. We can adapt the session structure to meet your needs. This could include having a recap at the beginning. It could mean being aware of specific goals and targets you may want to achieve. Clients have found it useful to let the sessions unfold naturally, as generally speaking, what needs to be explored finds it’s way to the surface.
I have been offering outdoor walk and talk therapy for 7 Years. Last Year I completed a Forest Therapy Practitioner Certificate. This differs to walk and talk therapy and I am looking forward to offering these more mindful sessions now.
I work with adults and young people. I am currently a mentor for University students who are diagnosed with ADHD, Autism and mental health concerns.
I am currently working with young people aged 11+

Practice description
I work flexibly with clients, holding weekly, fortnightly, monthly or as and when sessions.
I am comfortable following a clients lead during sessions or providing some guidance and direction if it makes the sessions easier to settle into.
Clients sometimes have clear goals and focus and other times it can be a very open exploratory space where we allow things to emerge naturally.
Sessions are 50 minutes indoors and 1 hour outdoors.
