Bereavement Counselling

When Grief Feels Overwhelming, You Don't Have to Face It Alone

Benefits of working with me

A Safe Space: Everything you share with me remains confidential. This is your space to express your feelings without judgment.

Coping with Anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, and other personal dates are challenging. I provide support and strategies for managing these difficult moments.

Complex Emotions: Grief often brings emotions that can feel confusing or even 鈥渨rong.鈥 I help you understand that all feelings are valid parts of your journey.

Moving Forward: While you鈥檒l never forget your loved one, I help you find ways to carry their memory while building a meaningful life moving forward.

Specialist in Bereavement Counselling: 15+ years helping individuals process grief and find emotional balance.

Expertise in Anxiety, Depression & Low Self-Esteem: Addressing these challenges when they arise in counselling.

Face-to-face or via Zoom for your convenience.

Whether expected or sudden, the death of someone close to us can trigger a complex mix of emotions:

  • Overwhelming sadness and emptiness
  • Anger at the situation or even at the deceased
  • Guilt about things left unsaid or undone
  • Regret about missed opportunities to say goodbye
  • Resentment about being left behind
  • Deep loneliness and isolation

Bereavement Counselling includes Grief, Loss and Pet Bereavement. It frequently uncovers other issues such as Depression, Low Self-Esteem, and Anxiety. I am fully qualified in these and will help you with them as part of our programme.

My counselling rooms are near Pangbourne, West Berkshire. I also work by Zoom (or Meet or Teams). I have clients across the UK.

I believe I am a friendly, empathetic counsellor with 20 years of experience. I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling. I am registered with the 麻豆原创 and hold a current DBS Check Certificate.

Practice description

Bereavement Specialist

Including Loss, Grief Counselling and Pet Bereavement

How I help you

  • Talking to someone who will liste
  • Coming to terms with your life
  • Understanding the grieving process
  • Supporting you as your life evolves
  • Considering the future

Many of my clients tell me how important it is to talk to someone who is not a family member. Especially if the deceased is a husband, wife or partner. There are aspects of your relationship you do not want to discuss with family.

What I do not do

  • I do not work with children (under 17)
  • Couples counselling
  • I only work with one member of a family at a time
  • I don't just take your money - I will tell you when I think we are done
  • Pack my day with clients ....

My clients are special. I do not adhere to the 鈥50 minute hour鈥, I sometimes run over the hour. I will not leave you crying at the end of a session.

I offer a complimentary session so that you can understand me and the way I work, and I can understand you and your issues.

My first session

I offer a short free introduction by video or phone to gain an overview of your problem and discuss my experience.

It is important that we both feel that we can work together.

If we both feel we can achieve this, then we will schedule an appointment after this.

In our first session we will discuss your problems that brought you to me. We will gradually fill the picture and I will help you with problems that you have.
