About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Lisa and I’m a straight talking integrative therapist who will guide you to optimum mental, emotional and physical health. My approach is solution focused and person centred, with a specialism in Applied Neuroscience and brain health.
With over 15 years of experience, I specialise in helping people understand the deep connection between the brain, mind and body, particularly in relation to chronic stress, emotional dysregulation and trauma.
As someone living with chronic illness, I understand firsthand the importance of balance, rest and managing stress in a sustainable, compassionate way.
I am science driven and integrate various modalities and strategies to support meaningful, lasting change. My work is grounded in real-world resilience and practical brain health education.
If you want to go beyond short-term coping and begin to rewire the patterns that keep you stuck, I’d love to support your journey.
There is no 'one size fits all' so I believe in adapting my approach to the person I am working with. I provide a variety of services including:
Counselling and Psychotherapy
EMDR Therapy
Psychotherapeutic Coaching
I know that reaching out and asking for support can feel incredibly daunting, especially when you may not know what kind of therapist or approach would be most useful.
That’s why I offer a free, 30 minute no obligation call to answer any questions you may have and to see if I’m the right fit for you.
Practice description
I'm a science driven, fact based therapist passionate about brain health which drives physical and emotional wellbeing. I believe it is important to understand the mind-body connection, the link between brain and body health (emotionally, physically and mentally).
Mental health and wellbeing is multi-faceted and together, we will explore the various factors and key foundations that promote positive health and wellbeing, resilience and the essential skills to manage life's stresses.
I believe in building some solid foundations first, so we can then explore deeper rooted and perhaps more emotionally challenging issues. With this approach, you can expect to feel more in control, change unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour, learn how to regulate your nervous system and manage your emotions whilst building your self-esteem and confidence.
Ideally we will see each other at the same time each week as this helps with diary management. However, there can be some flexibility.
My first session
Making the decision to start therapy can be difficult and this is why I offer a free, 30 minute no-obligation chat first. This is an opportunity for you to learn more about me, for me to understand your situation and for us both to decide if I am the right person to work with moving forward.
If we decide to work together, I send a pre-session questionnaire that I ask to be completed prior to our first session.
This gives us both a much a clearer idea of what you are looking for and also often sheds light on common themes that may be helpful for us in our sessions.
What I can help with
Anxiety, Bereavement, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Depression, Health related issues, Identity issues, Life coaching, Loss, Menopause, Men's issues, Personal development, Self esteem, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
