About me and my therapy practice

With 20 years’ experience working as a therapist, Counselling and Psychotherapy has become both my career and my passion. It is a privilege to work with people taking what can be the bravest of decisions to come to therapy. There is a vast array of noise out there and many questions arise when it comes to seeking therapy, from what type of therapy to what type of therapist. It can all be very overwhelming and confusing. I hope that I can help you in finding a sense of relief and calm amongst these uncertainties, in offering you a safe, experienced and professional space, where we can explore, understand and work with whatever is troubling you in confidence. I am there to support you in finding clarity and understanding, so that you may find ways to lead life more on your terms. I have worked over the years with adults of all ages, young people, and children. But now focus my work on teens and adults. I am fully qualified, holding full Â鶹ԭ´´ Accreditation alongside a Diploma and Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Please contact me if you would like to know more about how we might work together to meet your hopes and goals.

Practice description

My practice deploys the Integrative, which means I’m qualified to work with and draw upon major therapeutic disciplines, including Person Centred, CBT, Psychodynamic and Solution Focused Therapy and over more recent years I have touched on elements of neuroscience, which particularly relates to my work with anxiety. This way of working reflects my experience that people need different types of help and support at various stages of our lives. Over the years, I have observed clients responding well to this way of working, most notably by moving forward in the direction that is right for them and finding a new-found curiosity in themselves and their life. I have experience working both short term and long term and am happy to explore what will work most favourably for you but working at depth is where you and I will experience the core of therapy and it’s potential to impact your life.

My first session

I am happy to offer a free introductory 20 minute phone call. The next step would be to undertake an initial assessment session before one decides to fully commit to therapy. This session gives you the chance to tell me more about yourself and the things you want to work on in therapy, as well as ask me any questions you may have. It's an opportunity for us to see how the space feels together. After the assessment session I suggest that you take a few days to have a think about how you felt in the room and then to get in touch with me if you would like to attend regular weekly sessions.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist, Â鶹ԭ´´ Accredited and Integrative trained Clinical Supervisor for individuals and groups. Being Integratively trained aids me in my work with clients but also with supervisee's from different theoretical learnings and modalities.
