About me and my therapy practice
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my profile.
I鈥檓 a qualified Gestalt psychotherapeutic counsellor, originally trained in the person-centred approach.
I have a deep respect for the wisdom that emerges when we stop trying to 鈥渇ix鈥 ourselves and instead turn toward what is鈥攇ently, curiously, and with presence.
My work is grounded in body, emotion, and the relational field between us. I bring a creative approach.
Together we explore what you鈥檙e feeling, where it lives in you, and what might be trying to shift or unfold. I hold space for what鈥檚 raw, tender, or disowned鈥攇rief, shame, longing and how to belong.
My practice is influenced by dreamwork, Buddhist philosophy, and embodied approaches such as movement and dance. I believe healing doesn鈥檛 always look tidy or linear鈥攊t often shows up in stuck places, in symptoms, in silence, in metaphor or in our dreams. Together, we explore not just what hurts, but what might be wanting to emerge.
I work well with people navigating life transitions, complex attachment patterns, creative (life) blocks, and those who sense they鈥檙e circling something unnamed.
If you feel on the cusp of change or searching for a clearer sense of yourself, this may be a good place to begin.
My ongoing practice includes dreamwork, somatic and embodied approaches, and breath-work, all of which support the deep, experiential nature of my work.
Practice description
I work in person and I have my own room in the City Centre of Glasgow. I can also offer online or telephone sessions if this suited you better and it felt like the right way to work together.
My first session
A solid, safe connection is so important to be able to do this brave work.
I see the first session as an initial meeting. A chance for us to get a feel for each other and what might be possible in our work together. If it feels right, I usually suggest two further sessions to explore more deeply. From there, we can decide together whether to commit to ongoing work
