About me and my therapy practice
I have been working as a therapist for over 20 years and before that in other areas of mental health such as therapeutic communities and group work.

Practice description
I originally trained in the Person - Centred model of therapy in Queen' University Belfast, then followed a post grad in relationship therapy in the Psychodynamic model in London. Over the last years I have been studying various aspects of Jungian Psychology and using the arts and stories we tell ourselves as a therapeutic tool.

Availability
I work online during daytime and early evening hours midweek and also have some face-to-face availability in East Belfast. I do not work on public holidays or annual leave (usually autumn).
About me and my therapy practice
I have been working with clients with low self esteem and clients with relationship issues for quite sometimes. Relationship issues can be with partner, colleague or family member. The relationship that's most important of course is the one with yourself and does that work for you at this time.
Sometimes people are afraid to make the changes they know they need to make. Changes can be about better boundaries, being clearer about what you need or discovering greater meaning in your life.
Sometimes finding greater meaning can be exploring possible ways of expressing your identity or finding your tribe or communicating more effectively. Life can be complex but having help can create the path forwards which may ultimately lead to more meaning and enjoyment.
So, if the issue is with someone or with yourself, therapy can help you get to a better place.
Practice description
I work in a person centred way to validate and empower my clients to make the best possible choices for them that are available to them in their present life.
I also have studied Psychodynamic, Jungian therapy and relationship attachment styles.
Together we can workout what are the best ways forward that best suit you as an individual.
My first session
In the first session we will agree a schedule that suits you to meet and discover what are the most important issues for you at this stage of your life, what holds you back and what gives you hope for the future.
Looking at all the options and finding what best works with you. How to be your own best friend and not be dragged down, with guilt, shame, anxiety or low self esteem.
