About me and my therapy practice
I am a humanistic therapist who works from a person centred position. I am a registered member of the Â鶹Դ´ and I adhere to the Ethical Framework for Counselling Professionals. I am fully insured.
Life can be complex and difficult and the navigation of the tricky times can sometimes feel overwhelming. I will listen to all that you want to say without judgement but with kindness and consideration. It could be that you are feeling anxious and that unhelpful thoughts are getting in the way of your every day life. Or maybe you feel depressed and lacking in motivation to engage with the world. Some people come into counselling because life has taken an unexpected and difficult turn, talking about what is happening with an experienced counsellor, can be hugely beneficial.
Together we will unpack the difficulties and allow you the space to learn more about yourself, perhaps unpack some unhelpful patterns and look how things could be different. Therapy can help build tools of resiliance and allow you to live a more authentic life.
For over 10 years I have worked in the Brighton & Hove area specifically supporting families who have experienced pregnancy loss. I have done this alongside my other therapy work. I have worked through charities such as Oscar's Wish Foundation and Harbour Counselling and also in private practice. I am able to offer counselling for miscarriage, termination, still birth and neonatal death as well as well as providing support to parents navigating pregnancy after loss. I am a member of the British Infertility Counselling Association and provide support for those working through the IVF process. I can work with you either as an individual or as a couple.
My first session
The first part of the initial session is used as an assessment to ensure we can work safely together. I will ask you a series of questions about your background and current context. This usually takes about 15 minutes and then the rest of the time is devoted to the therapeutic work. We can discuss this in more detail in the introductory call if you take that option.

My first session
I offer a free introductory phone or zoom call to meet each other for the first time and in that session I will ask some assessment questions to make sure we can work safely and ethically together and we can also start to work on goals for therapy.
