I work Monday - Thursday in Churt, Surrey

7am-3pm

I offer equine assisted work at another location nearby privately owned by myself.

About me and my therapy practice

I work using different modes of therapy under the umbrella of the Integrative model.

I offer person centred, TA, CBT, eco therapy and equine assisted models of therapy depending on the client and the issues they are facing.

I have two sites for clients to work from, depending on how we decide to work.

Practice description

I obtained my Certificate and Diploma in counselling in 2002 and 2003 respectively and my Honours degree in Integrative counselling at the University of surrey in 2004. Since then I have gained a post graduate diploma as an individual and group supervisor, accreditation with the bacp and has been a certificated couples therapist since 2006.

I have worked as a psychotherapist in many settings over the last 23 years,  working with the emergency services, the nhs, education and the private sector, specialising in working with adults, couples and adolescents.

I believe that building the therapeutic relationship with my clients is one of the most important factors when they are facing difficult and painful issues.

Working this way enables my clients to feel safe so they gain insight and awareness about themselves and their process, allowing them to make long lasting and effective changes.

I work using relational, cbt, ecotherapy, equine assisted  and solution focussed approaches with a special interest in creative methods to identify possible blocks in therapy, to allow change and to help clients move forward and have confidence in their own skills and abilities.

I regularly continue with ongoing professional development to provide clients with recent and relevant information therapeutic information.

My first session

The first session gives us both the opportunity to make sure working together would be the right fit. From that session we can decide which mode of therapy may be most helpful for you and we can discuss your desired outcome of the sessions. We can explore the direction of the sessions and how many session we think we may need. Any questions or queries can be answered on this first session to help clients decide if they would like to continue.
