About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Sarah Whitmarsh and I am a qualified and accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Milford, Surrey. I have a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling, and hold a PGDip in Adolescent Counselling. I offer a safe and confidential environment, working with you to create a tailored approach to improve your every-day life.
I welcome children, adolescents, and adults, from all walks of life. No problem is too big or too small, and everyone is worthy of counselling. Taking the step to start counselling may feel daunting, but investing in your mental wellbeing is truly life changing.
My Approach
I am an Integrative counsellor using therapies , for example, person - centred , psychodynamic and humanistic theories, creating different approaches and methods to suit your needs.
Whether it be talking, exploring creatively, or both, the possibilities are endless. Together we will better understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
I work with current issues you may be facing, as well as past experiences or traumas, to assist you in finding the answers you are seeking. I can help you develop effective coping strategies, build confidence, and navigate daily life with ease.
What this means for YOU;
You are not fitted into a rigid method.
Your experiences, culture and goals shape our work.
We can adapt as your needs change.
I consider our relationship as a key factor in your counselling experience and believe that strong authentic relationships enhance personal growth.
