About me and my therapy practice

Does life feel harder than it should? I offer individual CBT - DBT informed therapy to adults and young people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or struggling with anxiety, low mood emotional regulation or relationships difficulties.  Therapy with me is collaborative and individually tailored, with a clear structure and support between sessions to help you progress.

I'm a Â鶹ԭ´´ Accredited Psychotherapist. Since 2001 I have worked as an Integrative Counsellor, Psychotherapist, CBT and DBT therapist. The focus of my work is to help you develop the practical skills that research in neuroscience and psychology show to improve mental health and increase personal fulfilment.

Working together, we will develop strategies tailored to your individual needs. We will strive to help you develop a growth mindset, which emphasises the idea that challenges and perceived failures are opportunities for learning and improvement, fostering a focus on personal growth and development. Enabling you to learn how to regulate intense emotions and unhelpful behaviours.

In addition to CBT - DBT informed counselling and psychotherapy, I also offer Anxiety management and traditional DBT.

Anxiety management will teach you a set of specific skills to reduce the effects of stress and anxiety. It can be helpful to address the many forms of anxiety, such as, insomnia, low self-esteem, OCD, work and exam stress, eating issues, and habitual worrying.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a form of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder (BPD). It has evolved to help individuals with a range of psychological issues, including self-harming behaviors, eating disorders, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation. DBT is particularly effective for individuals who experience intense emotional reactions and struggle to manage them in healthy ways.

Please note the cost for DBT is £70 per session or £260 for a block of 4 sessions.
