About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Accredited Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor . I work as an Integrative Counsellor and in doing so incorporate aspects of Person-Centred, Cognitive Behavioural and Psychodynamic approaches to counselling within this Integrative model. My practice is particularly influenced by Roger’s Person-Centred approach as I believe it is not until we are accepted as we are that we are able to grow, change or heal. It is my intention to offer any potential client a safe and confidential space in which they feel heard, understood and free to share without judgement.Practice description
In addition to my clinical practice, I am currently working as a lecturer in counselling. I am very passionate about the value of the counselling process and thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to teach across a variety of qualification levels including CPCAB and degree courses. As a qualified occupational therapist, teacher and counsellor I have both many years and a wide range of work experience across many different professional settings.
Specifically, my clinical counselling experience has been varied drawing on many aspects of my integrative training. I’ve had opportunity to work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, forms of abuse in addition to bereavement and loss. More recently I have worked with both developmental trauma and unresolved trauma from insult or injury.
My first session
As an Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and also a Member of the Association of Christian Counsellors. I adhere to the ethical framework of the counselling profession as presented within the professional bodies to which I belong. My practice is always supported by appropriate clinical supervision and ongoing continuing professional development.
I am happy to offer counselling or clinical supervision sessions either in person or online.

I favour the use of the Seven eyed Model for Supervison ( Hawkins & Shohet) which encourages a relational approach to counselling practice through the seven perspectives contained within the model
I am happy to work with both trainee and qualified practitioners
