About me and my therapy practice
I have been a counsellor for over 20 years. I provide a safe space where you can share and explore any situation with openness and honesty.
My training is based on an integrative model that helps sessions focus on here-and-now understanding of historic or current problematic situations. This can help you be clear what you want, and explore what works and doesn’t work for you in achieving that.
I am happy to have a short phone call with you so you can ask any questions and consider if I may be the right counsellor for you.
I work with care, respect and compassion to meet you wherever you are in your life, making sure you feel heard so you gain understanding and confidence, perhaps even feel that you have someone "in your corner".
You may feel you want to try counselling for many reasons, and I have worked with people who are looking for support working through, for example, work-related stress, bereavement, relationship difficulties, depression, anger and anxiety. You may also be feeling isolated, stuck or lost.
Counselling can help you improve your own focus to set and achieve your goals – whether this is making decisions, coming to terms with and easing emotional pain from hurt, grief, loss, disappointment or trauma, or finding greater clarity around your life’s direction or purpose.
Through my own lived experience, I know only too well some of the challenges of achieving or maintaining good mental and emotional health.
Together we can build your insight, understanding and self-compassion so you can feel more able to go forward with whatever life holds for you.

I work face-to-face and online and can be quite flexible with times to best suit what you need.
Appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes.
I understand that some people may have reduced or limited income so please ask about concessionary rates based on your ability to pay.
