About me and my therapy practice
I help young to mid-life adults explore how to balance careers, relationships, and their own sense of who they want to be; because sometimes the pressure to 鈥渉ave it all sorted鈥 by a certain age makes it hard to think clearly.
Your friends are settling down, changing jobs, moving house, or starting families... and you're wondering where you fit. Maybe life hasn't gone according to plan, or you've ticked all the boxes but still feel something's missing. You鈥檙e getting through the days, showing up to work unmotivated, scrolling late at night looking for answers, and saying yes to things you don't really want to do. As commitments and responsibilities begin to mount up, it becomes exhausting pretending everything鈥檚 fine, especially when others seem to hit those milestones with ease.
Some of the benefits of therapy鈥
鈥 Helping you feel less tangled up in comparing yourself to others
鈥 Learning to be more at ease with where you are now
鈥 Developing healthier ways to think and cope
鈥 Making choices aligned to your own values
鈥 Understanding who you are, and not who you think you should be
Therapy is an investment in self-understanding, not because something鈥檚 wrong, but because you want to do things differently now. I can help you connect to what鈥檚 uniquely important to you.
Practice description
My background in the arts and media shaped how I work today. I loved helping people feel at ease while they shared their stories - calming nerves, building trust and creating a space where they could be themselves. I realised that the relational side of the work mattered most to me, connecting with people, supporting them gently and helping their voice come through. That's the foundation of my counselling practice now: a grounded encouraging relationship where people feel heard and understood.
Over the course of our sessions, you'll begin to hear your own voice more clearly, and understand what drives your choices, and what keeps you stuck. As you get clearer on your needs and values, relationships start to feel a bit more honest, and you stop second guessing yourself so much. We鈥檒l work at your pace, regularly checking in to ensure the process feels right and is meeting your needs.
My own experience of therapy was transformative and inspired me to help others who feel stuck and unsure of themselves or their next steps. I welcome people from all backgrounds, identities and life experiences, and I'm experienced in working with people who might be exploring, discovering or questioning a neurodivergent identity.
My first session
Starting counselling can feel daunting, especially if it鈥檚 your first time. I offer a free introductory 20-minute phone call 鈥 a chance to get a feel for how we might work together and to ask any questions you have about the process.
Our first session is about seeing if we鈥檙e a good fit. I鈥檒l explain what to expect from counselling and how I can support you, while you share as much or as little as feels right. This helps me understand how I can best help.
At the end, I鈥檒l give you information about my practice so that if you need to, you can take time to decide whether to book further sessions. Please take that first step and get in touch to arrange a free call.
