About me and my therapy practice

â¶Ä‹

I provide a safe, confidential and supportive environment, where we can explore the positive changes required to accept and move on with your life. I can offer help with a wide range of issues, and have experience working with adults, Young people.

Counselling is an effective way of helping you understand and resolve any long or short term personal or emotional issue, preventing you from getting on and enjoying your life.

I use an integrative approach incorporating different theoretical models, tailoring my skills and techniques to meet the individual needs of my client. I believe that counselling facilitates change and personal growth. Together we will explore your patterns of behaviour and core beliefs linked to events in the past. This will lead to a deeper self-awareness, helping you to make small changes to overcome your difficulties, and lead a more fulfilling life.

Whatever your issue, you will be met with understanding, empathy and acceptance.

I have a background in nursing and midwifery, so I have a good understanding of pregnancy and birth related issues, as well as health problems and chronic conditions.

I have experience working with people with Autism, ADHD and learning disabilities.

I enjoy working with adults, and also work with young people above 11yrs.

I work within the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹ԭ´´) guidelines and ethical framework, tailoring my skills and techniques to meet the individual needs of my client.

I receive regular clinical supervision to support my work, ensuring high standards as well as safe and ethical practice.

I offer long or short term therapy at flexible times to suit your busy lifestyle!

About me and my therapy practice

I believe that the supervision relationship is fundamental, to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the practitioner to grow and develop.

I use the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision. By working through these seven "eyes" or perspectives, the model provides a comprehensive framework for analysing cases, enhancing self-awareness, and improving professional practice in a structured way.

This model encourages a holistic approach to supervision, supporting both personal and professional development by moving beyond a narrow focus on performance to a deeper understanding of the practitioner's use of self in their work.
