About me and my therapy practice
I’m Lucy, a qualified and experienced counsellor working with adults across the UK. I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can talk openly and begin to make sense of what’s happening in your life.
You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or navigating something deeply painful like grief, trauma, or relationship breakdown. Perhaps you’re not sure what’s wrong—only that things don’t feel quite right. Whatever brings you to counselling, I’ll work alongside you to understand your experiences and help you move forward.
My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed. This means I prioritise your safety, autonomy, and pace. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to your needs, including elements of Transactional Analysis (TA), parts work, and psychoeducation where helpful.
I have specialist experience in supporting clients affected by PTSD, bereavement, and work-related stress. I also work with people in high-pressure professions—including healthcare, farming, and construction—providing a safe, confidential space to explore emotional wellbeing, burnout, identity, and life challenges.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a MÂ鶹Դ´ Registered Counsellor, and NCS (Accredited) and work to the Â鶹Դ´ Code of Ethics providing Counselling and Mental Health support services via telephone and Zoom (online) sessions.
I work with clients mainly using Person Centred, TA, Solution Focussed and CBT approaches to counselling. Providing confidential counselling for individuals and employers, I also provide workplace counselling services, training and support.
I offer a safe, confidential and supportive space for clients to talk about whatever it is that they want to bring to counselling. Offering a warm, empathetic and non-judgemental space, clients are able to explore their thoughts and feelings, and to work together with me to help manage these and find a place that feels calmer, and more fulfilling.
Sometimes talking about your life and experiences and how these have impacted you in confidence, to someone who doesn't know you can provide the foundation for therapeutic change.
My experience includes working with the following presenting issues; bereavement, depression, relationship issues, attachment issues, PTSD and work related stress.
Offering both short and long term therapy, I am able to work with you for as long as counselling is helping you, working at a pace that feels right for you.

My first session
Everyone faces challenges, dilemmas, fears, problems and issues in their lives. Sometimes we can manage to cope. Counselling can really help.
Sometimes our usual coping methods don't seem to work. We find ourselves struggling and we need someone to talk to, someone who will listen and to somewhere we can talk about our feelings and thoughts and to explore opportunities for change - to get our lives back on track again. Mental Health is really important and Counselling is useful at times like this.
Counselling provides you with a confidential place to go, someone to talk to - someone who will listen, and someone to explore your thoughts, feelings and difficulties with and to find ways to resolve or manage your difficulties more effectively.
I am a warm and empathetic Counsellor who will help you to fee at ease. I have an understanding from being a client myself, the anxiety around attending a first session and will provide care and support to ensure that this experience is positive for you.
