About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, and it can be difficult to know where to turn.
I’m an experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist, offering in-person sessions in Guildford and online counselling for adults, young people aged 16+, and couples.
Counselling offers space to pause and reflect, to be heard without judgment, and to explore difficulties at your own pace. Together, we can work towards managing anxiety or low mood, improving confidence and relationships, understanding the impact of ADHD or Autism, and coping with study, work or life stress.
Areas of Special Interest
I have a particular interest in neurodiversity, with over 10 years’ experience supporting clients who are exploring their neurotype or adjusting to a new diagnosis of ADHD or Autism. We can work together to understand your experiences and develop practical, strengths-based strategies that support day-to-day wellbeing.
I also offer couples counselling, including with neurodivergent couples. We explore communication patterns, needs and expectations in a way that supports understanding rather than blame, helping you to find ways of relating that feel steadier and more connected.
Professional Experience
I have over 20 years’ experience working in education, health and counselling services. This includes 13 years as Head of Counselling across Further and Higher Education Colleges, and 7 years within a university counselling service, supporting students and staff from a wide range of backgrounds.
Before training as a therapist, I worked as a nurse, which informs the holistic way I view emotional, physical and psychological wellbeing. Having lived and worked in East Africa and the Middle East, I value cultural diversity and individual differences in how we make sense of our lives.
