About me and my therapy practice
Hello. I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, Counsellor & Supervisor with over a decade of experience. This means I am not restricted to working in one particular way. So I will adapt the way I work with you to suit you. I work short and long term with adults (18+) in an holistic way, from a humanistic and relational perspective. I offer a safe, confidential, non-judgmental, space to pause and reflect on your reasons for choosing to enter therapy, whilst working collaboratively with you towards your hopes for your future self.
My first session
When you contact me, we will arrange to meet for an initial assessment. This will give you time to share your story and discuss how we might work together. We can then decide if I am the right therapist for you. If we choose to work together we will discuss and sign a contract that outlines how we have chosen to move forward.
Our time together will start from where you find yourself; respecting that you are coping in the best way you can under difficult circumstances. We will sensitively explore your embodied feelings and thoughts about your presenting issues. This collaborative process might help you to gain new perspectives and form fresh insights that facilitate alternative ways of being that feel appropriate for you.
We can work together for as long as you feel it is necessary to work through your issues.

About me and my therapy practice
I’m trained in the practice of supervision, with an emphasis upon Hawkins & Shohet’s seven-eyed model. This is complimentary to my core Integrative therapy training; a relational, psychodynamic approach, from a humanistic perspective.
I offer a non-judgemental way of working as ally rather than expert, valuing that both of us are bringing a wealth of personal and professional knowledge and experience into supervision. This is consistent with my philosophical underpinnings; Martin Buber’s concepts I-Thou/it; relating that is cognitively unknowable but not unknown to us or experiential separateness and Inclusion; stepping into the others relational dynamics, whilst maintaining a sense of separateness. Inclusion facilitates curiosity; purposeful, collaborative, meaning making, that fosters a working alliance built upon mutual respect and trust. This mode of being within supervision is live and co-created thus a distillation of our, not just your and/or your clients personal resources. As such, the quality of the supervisory relationship we’re able to [re]create and its potential to contribute productively to your work and personal development, is key.
My role as supervisor is also informed by over a decade of embodied learning as a Yoga Teacher, alongside Polyvagal Theory; what plays out neurobiologically for us within relational dynamics. This synthesis offers us an expansive richness and anchor in supervision, when embodied information might be indicative of something [un/sub]consciously playing out between your client, you and me.
I believe given a safe enough space, support and at times challenge as well as encouragement, to explore all aspects of your professional life in an holistic way, the appropriate path forward for you within your work with your clients, will emerge.
Practice description
Trauma, [C]PTSD, Anxiety, Neurodiversity, Existential Crisis, LGBTQIA+ identities/lifestyles, HIV & Cancer diagnosis.
My first session
When you contact me, we’ll arrange a time to meet face-to-face or online via zoom, for a free 30 minute introductory session. During this initial meeting, it’ll give you time to share a little of your education/modality, areas of expertise and what you hope for and need from our supervision and I will talk about and model how I might work alongside you. Prior to that meeting, I’ll send you information about how to access my place of work or a link to a zoom session, including a supervision agreement for you to familiarise yourself with. I’ll need you to send me a copy of your membership with your governing body and professional insurance certificate. If we feel we can work effectively together after we’ve met, we’ll discuss and sign our supervision agreement.
