About me and my therapy practice

Welcome

Life has felt anything but normal in recent times 鈥 and for many, it still feels unsettling. Perhaps you鈥檙e struggling with anxiety, panic attacks, or going through a major life change like a bereavement, separation, or redundancy. Maybe past experiences are affecting your present, or you鈥檙e feeling stuck, low in self-esteem, or simply unsure of your next steps.

Whatever you're facing, this may be the time to talk to someone who won鈥檛 judge, rush, or try to 鈥渇ix鈥 you 鈥 but will listen deeply and help you find your way forward.

I offer a warm, accepting and confidential space where you can explore what鈥檚 going on and begin to feel more in control. Clients often tell me that my warmth and calm presence helped them feel safe enough to open up and make meaningful changes.

About Me

I'm a 麻豆原创  Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist with 23 years of experience working with individuals and couples, both short and long-term. I work face-to-face and online, and welcome clients from all walks of life.

Before training as a therapist, I worked in London, New York and Chicago in public relations 鈥 I鈥檝e always been a people person. Over the years, I鈥檝e taught counselling at college level, facilitated workshops, and worked on an eating disorders helpline. I bring all of this life and professional experience into my practice.

What I Offer

鈥 A safe, calm and respectful space to talk

鈥 A warm, non-judgemental therapeutic relationship

鈥 Support for anxiety, panic attacks, self-esteem, relationship issues, and life transitions

鈥 Practical techniques (e.g. breathing, relaxation, visualisation) to manage anxiety

鈥 Couples counselling in a neutral space to support clearer communication and understanding

I believe every client is unique. Together, we鈥檒l explore what matters to you, at your pace, in your way.

I鈥檇 be glad to speak with you and see how we might work together. Please feel free to get in touch.

Practice description

My practice is situated within easy distance of the M40, Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross and Stoke Poges,  in a private road, with secure parking on my gated forecourt.

I offer face-to-face counselling, as well as online FaceTime or Skype sessions.

My first session

The initial session is one where you can ascertain whether or not you feel comfortable with me, feel a connection and feel safe.  The client/therapist relationship is of utmost importance and generally  you  will know after a 60 minute session with me whether or not you wish to continue with therapy or seek another therapist.  Alternatively, you may wish to consider this over a period of time whilst making this decision;  there is never any pressure to commit to counselling either short-term or long-term. My clients always have the power to determine what is right for them at any given time.
