About me and my therapy practice

I work as an integrative psychotherapist, offering therapy both online and in person. My approach is collaborative, relational, and grounded in presence.

My qualifications include:

MSc Existential Psychology and Psychotherapy 鈥 Middlesex University

BSc (Hons) Psychological Sciences 鈥 University of Westminster

Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision 鈥 University of Derby

Foundation Training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT)

Diploma in Rape & Sexual Abuse Counselling (Level 6)

I pay close attention to how past experiences, relationships, and patterns shape the present, while also staying attuned to what is happening for you here and now. Therapy is not about applying a single method or fitting you into a model. Instead, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches and adapt my way of working to your needs, preferences, and readiness.

The therapeutic relationship is central to my work. I believe change happens through trust, emotional safety, and being genuinely understood. Sessions offer space for reflection and curiosity 鈥 making sense of thoughts, feelings, bodily responses, and inner conflicts in a way that feels manageable and respectful.

I work with people experiencing anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, questions of identity, and the impact of past experiences or trauma. Alongside relational work, I may offer gentle structure, psychoeducation, or shared reflection where this feels helpful and supportive.

I am a 麻豆原创-accredited psychotherapist and a recognised provider with several UK health insurance companies, including AXA, Bupa, Bupa Global, Aviva, Vitality, WPA, and Healix. I welcome both insured and self-funding clients.

I work within clear ethical and professional boundaries. My intention is to support you in developing greater self-understanding, emotional clarity, and a stronger sense of agency in your life.

Practice description

My practice offers a reflective, supportive space where emotional experiences can be explored with care, depth, and clarity. Therapy is a collaborative process that supports understanding, integration, and meaningful change over time.

I work integratively, drawing on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including existential therapy, person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), emotion-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, internal family systems (IFS), and trauma-informed practice. These approaches are used flexibly and thoughtfully, guided by your individual needs rather than applied as a fixed programme.

Sessions offer time to slow down and reflect 鈥 to look back on past experiences where helpful, to understand current patterns, and to notice how thoughts, emotions, and bodily responses interact. This process can support greater emotional regulation, self-compassion, and a clearer sense of direction.

Where it is helpful, I also work with imagery, metaphor, and symbolic language. Some experiences are difficult to express directly in words, and imagery can offer another way of understanding emotional states, inner conflicts, or patterns of relating. This work is always optional and shaped by your comfort and preference, and it is grounded in psychological theory and clinical practice.

I pay particular attention to emotional safety and pacing. Therapy unfolds at a rhythm that feels manageable, allowing difficult material to be approached without overwhelm. Where appropriate, I may share psychological understanding, offer structure, or explore practical ways of working with anxiety, low mood, self-criticism, or relational difficulties.

I offer both in-person and online sessions. I work with adults seeking support with emotional distress, identity questions, relationship issues, and the longer-term impact of life experiences. My aim is to support you in developing insight, resilience, and a more grounded relationship with yourself and others.

My first session

The first session is a chance for us to meet, begin to get a sense of what brings you to therapy, and see how it feels to work together. It is not an assessment you need to pass, and there is no expectation that you arrive with a clear story or defined goals.

We will spend time exploring what is happening for you now, any relevant background, and what you are hoping for from therapy. I may ask some gentle questions to understand your experiences, relationships, and current challenges, while staying attuned to your pace and what feels safe to share.

Equally important, the first session is a space for you to get a sense of me and my way of working. You are welcome to ask questions about therapy, boundaries, structure, or anything you are unsure about. We can also talk about practicalities such as session frequency, fees, or insurance arrangements.

If it feels appropriate, we may begin some therapeutic work in the first session. For others, the first meeting is more about orienting, settling, and creating a sense of safety and clarity before going deeper. There is no pressure to decide everything at once.

My aim in the first session is to offer a calm, respectful, and non-judgemental space where you can begin to feel heard and supported, and where we can consider together whether ongoing therapy feels like the right next step for you.

Availability

I currently offer supervision online. Session times are arranged by mutual agreement and are intended to support consistency, reflective depth, and ethical practice.

If I am unable to offer an immediate space, I will let you know and, where appropriate, discuss future availability. Any planned periods of leave will be communicated in advance.

About me and my therapy practice

I work as an integrative clinical supervisor, offering supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists at different stages of their professional development. My supervisory approach is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in relational thinking.

I bring over twenty years of experience working in mental health settings, which informs my clinical judgement, steadiness, and ability to work with complexity.

My qualifications include:

MSc Existential Psychology and Psychotherapy 鈥 Middlesex University

BSc (Hons) Psychological Sciences 鈥 University of Westminster

Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision 鈥 University of Derby

Foundation Training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT)

Diploma in Rape & Sexual Abuse Counselling (Level 6)

Supervision with me focuses on creating a reflective space where clinical work can be explored with care, curiosity, and ethical attention. I am interested not only in what is happening in the work with clients, but also in what emerges within the therapeutic relationship and within the supervisory relationship itself. I pay close attention to process, emotional dynamics, and the wider relational field.

I work integratively, drawing on relational, psychodynamic, existential, trauma-informed, and systemic perspectives. Rather than applying a single model, I adapt supervision to the supervisee鈥檚 experience, theoretical orientation, and developmental needs. This may include supporting clinical thinking, ethical decision-making, risk awareness, and the integration of theory with lived practice. I may also share relevant theoretical perspectives or evidence-based frameworks in a collaborative way.

Where appropriate, I may work with imagery, metaphor, or reflective visualisation to support understanding of complex clinical material or relational dynamics.

My aim is to offer supervision that supports clinical confidence, ethical clarity, and reflective capacity, while providing a space that feels containing and developmentally supportive.

Practice description

My supervision practice offers a reflective, containing space for counsellors and psychotherapists to explore their clinical work with depth, care, and ethical attention. Supervision with me is not about performance or being judged, but about thinking together, developing clinical understanding, and strengthening professional confidence.

I work integratively, drawing on relational, psychodynamic, existential, trauma-informed, and systemic perspectives. Supervision is shaped around the supervisee鈥檚 experience, developmental stage, and theoretical orientation rather than a fixed supervisory model. I am attentive to both the content of the work and the process 鈥 including what may be emerging emotionally, relationally, and ethically within the therapeutic encounter.

Alongside reflective exploration, I value thoughtful knowledge-sharing as part of supervision. Where helpful, I may offer theoretical perspectives, clinical concepts, or evidence-based frameworks to support understanding of the work. This is always shared in a collaborative, dialogical way, with the intention of supporting integration rather than prescribing a 鈥渞ight鈥 way of working.

Supervision sessions may focus on clinical formulation, relational dynamics, ethical dilemmas, risk and safeguarding, professional boundaries, and the impact of the work on the therapist. I also pay attention to how wider contexts 鈥 organisational, cultural, and personal 鈥 influence clinical practice.

Where appropriate, I may use imagery, metaphor, or reflective exploration to support understanding of complex material, countertransference, or stuck points in the work. This is always offered with sensitivity to the supervisee鈥檚 preference and learning style.

My aim is to support supervisees in developing reflective capacity, ethical clarity, and an integrated clinical stance, while offering supervision that feels steady, respectful, and developmentally supportive.

My first session

The first supervision session is an opportunity to begin forming a working relationship and to explore whether my way of supervising feels like a good fit for you.

We will spend time discussing your current practice, professional context, and what brings you to supervision at this point in your development. This may include talking about your clinical work, areas of confidence and uncertainty, ethical responsibilities, and the kinds of support you are looking for from supervision.

I am interested not only in the content of the work you bring, but also in how you experience your clinical role and how supervision might best support your thinking, presence, and professional growth. The first session offers space to reflect together on expectations, boundaries, frequency of sessions, and practical arrangements.

Supervision with me is not evaluative or performance-driven. The emphasis is on creating a reflective, collaborative space where clinical material can be explored thoughtfully and safely. You are not expected to arrive with everything formulated or resolved.

Following the first session, we can decide together whether to continue and how the supervision might be shaped to support your ongoing practice in a way that feels ethical, containing, and developmentally appropriate.
