About me and my therapy practice
I’m an experienced and compassionate counsellor who believes that therapy works best when you feel heard and understood. It’s important to have a space where you can talk openly without judgement and begin to make sense of what’s going on for you.
Many people are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or simply exhausted. Counselling offers a safe, confidential place to explore these feelings, develop coping strategies, and begin to move forward or make peace with what cannot be changed.
Whether you’re dealing with grief, trauma, relationship issues, burnout, or a general loss of direction, we can work together at a pace that feels right for you.
Sessions are available online or in-person. I offer concessionary rates for students, NHS staff, and those on lower incomes.
Practice description
I’ve been practising as a counsellor since 2010 and am an accredited, registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹Դ´).
Over the past fifteen years, I’ve supported adults and young people aged 18+ in a range of settings, including domestic abuse services, HIV support, and higher education. For the last decade, I’ve worked in university settings as a Senior Counsellor, Clinical Supervisor and Mental Health Instructor Trainer. I also established and managed a counselling service within university halls, helping students access support right where they lived.
My first session
If you'd like to work together, I offer a free 15-minute telephone appointment so we can explore what brings you to counselling and whether I feel like the right fit for you.
If we decide to go ahead, we’ll look at what support format feels best, either face-to-face or online (via Zoom or FaceTime). Online counselling offers flexibility and can be helpful if you’re balancing a busy schedule or prefer the comfort of your own space.
What I can help with
Abuse, Addictions, AIDS/HIV, Anxiety, Bereavement, Cancer, Child related issues, Depression, Disability, Health related issues, Identity issues, Loss, Post-traumatic stress, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
