I offer trauma-informed, relational therapy online for adults and young people in Cumbria and the Lake District. A steady space to reconnect with yourself at your own pace - no travel needed.

About me and my therapy practice

I鈥檓 Anna - a trauma-informed counsellor offering warm, relational therapy sessions online to adults and young people across Cumbria and the Lake District.

Many of the people I work with are navigating the effects of developmental or relational trauma, emotional overwhelm, or neurodivergence. Some have felt unseen or unsupported by previous services. Others simply know something needs to shift, but aren鈥檛 sure how or where to begin.

My work is grounded in Person-Centred values and shaped by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, and over a decade of experience. I offer a calm, non-pathologising approach, deeply informed by how our nervous systems hold and respond to stress and trauma.

Therapy with me is not clinical or distant. It鈥檚 human, collaborative, and paced to fit what you need. I believe that real healing happens when we feel safe enough to explore gently - without pressure to perform or explain everything.

Living in a rural area like Cumbria can sometimes make therapy feel out of reach - whether due to location, weather, or limited local services. That鈥檚 why I work exclusively online via Zoom, offering consistent and accessible support wherever you are.

You don鈥檛 need to travel. All you need is a quiet space and a device with a camera.

I also welcome enquiries from counselling students completing their required therapy hours, provided my qualifications meet your course requirements.

Practice description

My online therapy practice supports people across Cumbria and the Lake District who may feel emotionally overwhelmed, isolated, or lost in their internal world.

Rural areas often have fewer local counselling options, especially for trauma-informed or neurodivergent-affirming care. My practice offers a consistent, accessible alternative: steady, grounded support through Zoom - wherever you are in Cumbria.

I work with adults and young people navigating a wide range of difficulties, including dissociation, chronic stress, complex trauma, and sensitivity to the world around them. You may not have words for what you're experiencing - or you might have a lifetime of stories no one has really heard. Both are welcome.

My style is gentle, relational, and collaborative. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal theory, and a deep trust in your inner system鈥檚 capacity to heal when held with care.

You don鈥檛 need a diagnosis or crisis point to begin. Just a sense that something inside you is asking to be met.

Sessions are 60 minutes long and held via Zoom, so you can attend from the comfort of your home - even in remote or hard-to-reach places.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute phone call so you can get a feel for how I work, ask questions, and see if therapy with me feels like the right fit. There鈥檚 no pressure 鈥 just an open, exploratory conversation.

If we decide to work together, our first full session will last 60 minutes and take place over Zoom. You鈥檒l receive a secure link in advance. All you need is a quiet space and a device with a camera. You don鈥檛 need to prepare anything or 鈥渂e ready.鈥 Just bring yourself, exactly as you are.

Some clients arrive with stories to share. Others come with a wordless sense that something needs attention. In our first session, we鈥檒l take things slowly. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable.

We鈥檒l talk about what鈥檚 bringing you here, what safety means for you, and how we can begin to work together. You might want to explore anxiety, shutdown, self-worth, emotional patterns, or just feel into the space.

There is no single way to begin. Some people stay for just a few sessions. Others want to work long-term. We can decide together what鈥檚 right for you.

I also welcome counselling students completing their therapy hours, provided my qualifications meet your course requirements.

About me and my therapy practice

I鈥檓 Anna - a trauma-informed counsellor offering warm, relational therapy sessions online to adults and young people across the UK.

I work with people who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally stuck. Many of my clients are navigating the effects of developmental or relational trauma, neurodivergence, or nervous system dysregulation. If you鈥檝e ever felt 鈥渢oo much,鈥 鈥渘ot enough,鈥 or like no one quite gets you - you鈥檙e not alone. I offer a steady space where you can show up as you are, without needing to perform or explain everything.

My practice is grounded in Person-Centred values and shaped by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, and over a decade of therapeutic experience. I bring a deep respect for the nervous system and a gentle, non-pathologising approach to healing. Therapy with me is not clinical or rigid. It鈥檚 relational, human, and paced to fit what you need.

I work exclusively online via Zoom, which means you can access therapy from the comfort and familiarity of your own space - no travel, no waiting rooms. All you need is a quiet spot and a device with a camera.

Some clients talk. Others pause, reflect, and tune in. Some bring parts, metaphors, or body sensations. There鈥檚 no right way. What matters is that you feel met - not managed.

I also welcome counselling students completing their required therapy hours, as long as my qualifications meet your course criteria.

Practice description

My online therapy practice is designed to meet you wherever you are - geographically and emotionally.

I work with adults and young people who may have felt misunderstood, missed, or unsupported in other services. Many of the people I work with experience emotional overwhelm, shutdown, or struggle with self-worth. I specialise in complex trauma, dissociation, and neurodivergence, and I support people who are exploring their internal system with curiosity and care.

Sessions are delivered via Zoom, making them accessible wherever you live in the UK - whether you鈥檙e in a remote area or simply prefer the ease of connecting from home. For some clients, this feels safer and more contained than face-to-face therapy. It also allows us to work steadily and consistently, regardless of weather, location, or energy levels.

My style is warm, non-judgemental, and attuned. I won鈥檛 tell you what to do - but I will sit with you, listen deeply, and support you to make sense of your inner experience. IFS and Polyvagal-informed approaches allow us to work with the body and emotions, not just the narrative.

You don鈥檛 need to be in crisis or have everything figured out. If something inside you is asking to be heard, you鈥檙e welcome here.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute phone call to begin, so you can ask questions, get a feel for my approach, and see whether working together feels like a good fit. There鈥檚 no pressure - just space to explore what feels right.

If we choose to work together, our first full session will last 60 minutes and take place on Zoom. You鈥檒l receive a link in advance. You don鈥檛 need to prepare anything - just come as you are.

In this first session, we鈥檒l go gently. I鈥檒l ask a few questions to get to know you and your hopes for therapy, but the tone is informal and paced to suit you. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable.

Some people want to dive in. Others need time to settle, build trust, or even just get used to being seen. All ways of beginning are welcome.

You might bring specific challenges, patterns, or relationships you鈥檇 like to explore - or you may just have a feeling that something needs attention. I鈥檒l support you to tune in, slow down, and begin wherever you are.

We can talk about how therapy might support you, what you're hoping for, and what safety looks like for you in a therapeutic relationship. From there, we鈥檒l decide together how often we meet and what the pace might be.

If you're a counselling student, we can also explore whether my qualifications meet your course requirements for personal therapy.

Online counselling for adults and young people in Northumberland. Trauma-aware, relational sessions for those who鈥檝e felt misunderstood, overwhelmed, or emotionally stuck. You鈥檙e not too much - you鈥檙e welcome here.

About me and my therapy practice

I鈥檓 Anna - a trauma-informed counsellor offering warm, relational online therapy to adults and young people across Northumberland.

If you鈥檙e feeling emotionally overwhelmed, lost in your thoughts, or quietly struggling with parts of yourself, therapy can offer a steady, non-judgemental space to begin. I work particularly well with clients who鈥檝e felt misunderstood in other services or who live with dissociation, shutdown, or inner chaos.

My practice is rooted in Person-Centred values and informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, and over ten years of experience. I believe in working with the nervous system and emotional patterns - not against them.

You don鈥檛 have to explain everything or arrive with a clear story. Therapy with me is human and relational, not clinical. We go gently, together.

Living in a vast and rural area like Northumberland can mean long travel times or limited access to trauma-aware support. I work exclusively online via Zoom, offering consistent therapy from wherever you are. Whether you鈥檙e on the coast, in the countryside, or somewhere in between - this space is for you.

You just need a quiet place and a device with a camera.

I work with people navigating complex trauma, emotional shutdown, nervous system dysregulation, and neurodivergence. If you鈥檝e ever been told you鈥檙e too sensitive, too intense, or just 鈥渢oo much鈥 - you鈥檙e not. You鈥檙e carrying something that deserves to be met with care.

Sessions are 60 minutes and held online. This makes support more accessible if you're balancing care work, parenting, chronic illness, or if you simply want to attend from the safety of your own space.

Many of my clients are new to therapy. Others have tried before and left feeling unheard or pathologised. If you鈥檙e looking for something softer, deeper, and more real - you鈥檙e in the right place.

I also support trainee counsellors completing required personal therapy hours.

We鈥檒l take our time to talk about what you鈥檙e looking for, what support means for you, and what helps you feel emotionally safe in a therapeutic relationship.

I offer Zoom-based counselling for clients on the Isle of Wight. Trauma-informed support for those navigating overwhelm, isolation, or emotional pain. Safe, steady sessions - wherever you are.

About me and my therapy practice

I鈥檓 Anna - a trauma-informed counsellor offering online therapy to adults and young people across the Isle of Wight.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or disconnected from yourself, therapy can offer a quiet space to pause, reflect, and be met with care. I work especially well with people navigating trauma, nervous system dysregulation, dissociation, and neurodivergence.

My practice is grounded in Person-Centred values and informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, and over ten years of experience. I offer a calm, relational approach that supports you to explore what鈥檚 going on beneath the surface, at your own pace.

Living on an island can bring unique challenges - from geographical isolation to limited local support options. Online therapy makes it possible to access consistent, specialist support without needing to travel. I work exclusively via Zoom, meaning wherever you are on the Isle of Wight, I can offer a safe, steady space to begin.

My work isn鈥檛 about quick fixes or formulas. It鈥檚 about creating a relationship where every part of you can start to be seen, heard, and understood - especially the parts that have been silenced for a long time.

I also welcome counselling students who are completing their personal therapy hours, provided my qualifications meet your course鈥檚 requirements.

Practice description

My online counselling practice supports clients across the Isle of Wight who are seeking trauma-informed, relational therapy without needing to leave their own home.

I work with people who may feel isolated - emotionally, physically, or both. Many of my clients are living with the impact of complex trauma, neurodivergence, anxiety, or inner systems that feel fragmented, too much, or too loud.

Therapy with me is gentle, non-clinical, and paced to meet your needs. We go slowly, listen to your nervous system, and begin where you are - not where someone else thinks you 鈥渟hould鈥 be.

Online sessions via Zoom offer flexibility and consistency, especially important if you鈥檙e in a remote or less-connected part of the island. For many clients, the comfort of attending therapy from their own space feels safer than traditional settings.

Sessions last 60 minutes. I bring warmth, presence, and a deep respect for your inner world. Whether you鈥檙e just beginning to explore therapy or have tried before and felt unseen, I offer a space that鈥檚 quietly different.

I also welcome student counsellors completing their personal therapy hours.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute phone call to start - a chance to ask questions, explore how I work, and see if therapy with me feels like the right fit.

In our first session, we鈥檒l go gently. You can share as much or as little as you feel able. I may ask a few questions to understand what brings you here, what safety looks like for you, and what you鈥檙e hoping for from therapy.

Some clients arrive with stories and clarity. Others bring confusion, shutdown, or a quiet ache. Both are welcome. You don鈥檛 need to be anything other than human here.

We'll talk about practical details like frequency and pace. If you're new to therapy or trying again after difficult past experiences, I鈥檒l meet you with care and patience.

You鈥檙e also welcome to ask about student therapy hours or course requirements if you鈥檙e in training.

About me and my therapy practice

I鈥檓 Anna - a trauma-informed counsellor offering warm, relational therapy sessions online to adults and young people across Cornwall.

Many of the people I work with live with emotional overwhelm, disconnection, or a deep sense of 鈥渘ot fitting in.鈥 You might be navigating complex trauma, neurodivergence, or patterns that feel stuck or exhausting. You might also be someone who鈥檚 never quite felt understood - even in previous therapy.

My practice is grounded in Person-Centred values and shaped by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, and over a decade of therapeutic experience. I offer a steady, non-pathologising approach to healing that鈥檚 rooted in deep respect for the nervous system and how it holds our history.

Therapy with me isn鈥檛 clinical or performative. It鈥檚 relational and human  a safe space where all parts of you are welcome, including the ones that feel unsure about being here.

Living in a beautiful but rural place like Cornwall can sometimes mean limited local access to trauma-informed support. I work exclusively online via Zoom, offering therapy wherever you are in the county. All you need is a quiet space and a device with a camera.

This way of working allows us to meet consistently, regardless of geography, weather, or mobility. For many clients, it鈥檚 a more accessible and emotionally safe way to begin therapy.

I also welcome counselling students completing their required therapy hours, provided my qualifications meet your course requirements.

Practice description

My online practice supports people across Cornwall who are seeking a different kind of therapeutic relationship - one rooted in warmth, permission, and depth.

Many of my clients are navigating life with nervous systems shaped by trauma, high sensitivity, or long periods of emotional suppression. Others are exploring the impact of neurodivergence, shutdown, dissociation, or self-blame.

Whatever you鈥檙e carrying, you don鈥檛 need to carry it alone.

I offer trauma-informed, IFS-informed sessions that go at your pace. Whether you arrive with stories or simply a sense that something isn鈥檛 right, we begin from where you are. You don't have to "make sense" before you arrive - therapy is where that unfolding can happen.

I work online via Zoom with adults and young people across Cornwall. For those living in remote or rural areas, or those who struggle to access traditional therapy spaces, this can be a gentler and more realistic way to receive support.

Sessions last 60 minutes and are delivered consistently from a secure and private space on my end. I鈥檒l always check in with you about what鈥檚 feeling helpful, and we鈥檒l work collaboratively throughout.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute phone call so you can ask questions, feel into the space, and decide if therapy with me feels right. There鈥檚 no pressure - just a gentle introduction.

If we decide to continue, our first full session will take place on Zoom and last 60 minutes. You鈥檒l receive a secure link in advance. You don鈥檛 need to prepare or 鈥渂e ready鈥 - just come as you are.

We鈥檒l start gently. You鈥檙e welcome to share what鈥檚 bringing you here, or simply arrive with a sense that something needs attention. Either is fine. You鈥檒l never be rushed or pushed to say more than you want to.

My role is to create a space where all of you feels welcome - even the unsure parts, the quiet parts, or the ones that have been carrying everything for years.

We鈥檒l explore what support might look like, what feels safe, and how we can work together at your pace. You can also ask about frequency, practicalities, and anything else that helps you feel grounded.

Whether you're living somewhere remote, feeling isolated, or just prefer the ease of online sessions, therapy from your own space can be a powerful way to begin.

I also welcome counselling students completing personal therapy hours, provided my qualifications align with your course.

About me and my therapy practice

About Me

Hi, I鈥檓 Anna.

I offer a gentle, grounded space for people who are carrying pain, confusion, or just a quiet sense that something isn鈥檛 quite right. I don鈥檛 believe in fixing or pathologising you. I believe in meeting you - fully, kindly, and without pressure.

My practice is rooted in Person-Centred values and shaped by over a decade of experience. I work in an Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed and trauma-aware way, guided by a strong understanding of how our nervous systems hold and respond to overwhelm.

I鈥檝e also walked my own path through complex healing, which means I understand how vulnerable - and how brave - it is to reach out for support.

Clients often find me when they鈥檝e been missed, misdiagnosed, or worn down by systems that didn鈥檛 really see them. I work especially well with people navigating complex trauma, dissociation, neurodivergence, and emotional overwhelm. Together, we go slowly. We listen to what鈥檚 underneath the symptoms. We make space for every part of you - even the ones that feel too much, or not enough.

You don鈥檛 have to make sense before you arrive. You don鈥檛 need to know what to say. Just come as you are.

I also welcome counselling students who are completing their personal therapy hours - if you feel I might be a good fit, I鈥檓 happy to check whether my qualifications meet your course requirements.

Alongside my formal training, my practice is shaped by my own long-term healing work, which has given me a deep respect for the pace, complexity, and power of therapy.

I鈥檓 a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (麻豆原创) and a member of the European Society for Trauma and Dissociation.

Practice description

It鈥檚 been a privilege to support people from many different walks of life - in community settings, prisons, and with individuals navigating complex emotional terrain. These experiences have deepened my belief in the importance of safety, realness, and connection in therapeutic work.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues, particularly trauma, dissociation, and neurodivergence. My approach is enriched by ongoing study and lived integration of body鈥搈ind practices, including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Polyvagal-informed therapy.

My qualifications include:

鈥 BSc (Hons) Counselling 鈥 First Class

鈥 Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

鈥 Level 3 Certificate in Counselling

鈥 Level 2 Counselling Skills

I also trained with researcher and author Bren茅 Brown in 2015, an experience that continues to shape my understanding of vulnerability, courage, and wholeheartedness - although I no longer deliver The Daring Way鈩 programme.

You might be feeling stuck - in your body, your relationships, or your patterns. Maybe you鈥檝e spent years masking your needs, disconnecting from emotions, or trying to hold it all together for everyone else.

Perhaps you鈥檝e been told you鈥檙e too much, or not enough. Maybe you鈥檝e lived with anxiety, shutdown, or cycles of self-blame for so long it feels like part of who you are.

You might not have words for what you鈥檙e feeling - or a lifetime of stories that no one has really heard.

I鈥檓 here to listen. Not just with my ears, but with presence, curiosity, and care.

This work isn鈥檛 about fixing you. It鈥檚 about helping you feel safe enough to soften, to explore, and to reconnect with parts of yourself that have been exiled or silenced.

My first session

However you arrive - messy, numb, shut down, scared, curious - you鈥檒l be met with care. There鈥檚 no need to prepare or explain yourself. This space is yours.

Therapy with me isn鈥檛 clinical or rigid. It鈥檚 relational. We鈥檒l build trust gently over time, and you鈥檒l be invited to bring whatever parts of you need attention - even the ones that feel unsure about being here.

We can talk, sit quietly, or tune into the body. We might explore through sensation, imagery, or parts dialogue if that feels right. Some clients bring a strong sense of their internal world; others discover it slowly. Either way is welcome.

You won鈥檛 be judged or rushed. I鈥檒l support you to move at a pace that feels safe, and we鈥檒l check in regularly to make sure the process is working for you.

Sessions are 60 minutes long and cost:

鈥 Online (Zoom) 鈥 拢55

鈥 Outdoor (face-to-face) 鈥 拢60 (year-round, weather permitting)

鈥 Home visits (Shrewsbury only) 鈥 拢60

I offer a free 20-minute phone call so you can ask questions and see whether working together feels like a good fit. There鈥檚 no pressure - just a space to explore what feels right.

I work short- or long-term depending on your needs. I also welcome enquiries from counselling students completing personal therapy hours, provided my qualifications meet your course requirements.

Please note: these rates apply to new clients. If we鈥檝e worked together before, your original rate will be honoured.

If you鈥檝e ever felt too much, too sensitive, or simply not understood -you鈥檙e not alone. I offer trauma-informed, relational counselling for adults and young people, with sessions available online, outdoors, or in your home.

Wherever you are in your process - beginning, breaking down, or beginning again - you are welcome here.
