About me and my therapy practice
With over thirteen years experience working within the NHS and 20 years post qualifiying experience I can offer private clients a safe, confidential and highly supportive space to work through their issues.
I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Âé¶¹Ô´´) with over twenty years’ experience as a qualified counsellor. I worked for more than thirteen years within NHS GP surgeries across the Salford area and, having recently taken early retirement from the NHS, now devote my full attention to my private practice.
Clients come to me with difficulties such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship issues, and work-related stress. My approach is warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental, tailored to your individual needs and circumstances.

Many of my clients see me for help with depression and anxiety, bereavement and loss issues, relationship problems or work place stress. As a professional counsellor, I am trained to offer you a safe, supportive and confidential space where I can help you deal with the issues you wish to work on.
I work with lifes transitions, marriage, divorce, parenthood, bereavment and loss.
With thousands of hours Counselling expereince I have developed a style which, I am told, offers a high level of warmth and support. My role is not to judge you, but to work closely with you and help you feel empowered to work through your issues. My counselling is easily tailored to your individual needs and goals.

Initially, I will offer you a twenty minute phone call or video call to talk through your counselling needs. There will be no charge for this time. This will give you an opportunity to ask me any questions about my practice and decide if you would like to work with me.What I can help with

Over the past several years, I have provided counselling for NHS staff, Greater Manchester Police, teaching staff, Foreign Office employees.
I have a particular interest in supporting people experiencing burnout, emotional fatigue, loss of confidence, or identity strain related to demanding professional roles. I have a special interest and much experience in working with teaching staff.

The main body of my work and expereince has been working with clients expereincing anxiety and depression. Along side these areas I work with bereavment and loss and have developed a great interest and much experience in the following areas.
Counselling for Professionals
Alongside my NHS work and private practice, I have extensive experience working with professionals in high-responsibility roles, particularly within the public sector. Over the past several years, I have provided counselling for NHS staff, Greater Manchester Police, teaching staff, Foreign Office employees. I also provide counselling for private sector employees in particular within Law and media.
I have a particular interest in supporting people experiencing burnout, emotional fatigue, loss of confidence, or identity strain related to demanding professional roles. I have a special interest and much experience in working with teaching staff.
Women and personal growth
Over the many years I have been counselling I have enjoyed working with many interesting women from diverse backgrounds as they approach various life changes. I have worked with women looking for Counselling following an important life transition such as, starting a family, women who wish to improve their self-esteem and relationships or perhaps they wish to become more assertive. Many of the women I work with want to deal with a loss such as divorce or perhaps 'empty nest syndrome'. I am happy to work with you to calmly deal with any issue you bring to therapy and help you find your own hidden resources for coping with whatever is troubling you.
