About me and my therapy practice
I’m an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor, specialising in anxiety and depression, self-confidence and self-esteem, relationships and communication. I have also worked substantially with bereavement, life transitions, career and work-related stress.
My approach to counselling is based on creating a safe space for you to share what’s troubling you, work through unresolved issues or challenging situations and gain new perspectives to make the changes you feel are right for you.
How we work will always be highly individual as no life situation is ever experienced in the same way by two different people. I like to understand what’s important to each person and connect at whatever level you feel your life needs attending to. This could mean processing unresolved feelings and difficult life experiences, exploring relationships, working through unhelpful beliefs and thinking patterns, or moving forward from a difficult place.
I tend to work in the here-and-now as it’s only in the present that we can make changes, let go of old patterns, wounds, painful memories and unhelpful beliefs, and be able to create something different.
Practice description
I offer both brief and open-ended therapy, depending on your needs, and reasons for coming to therapy.
Sessions are weekly, either face to face, telephone or online.
My practice is an equal distance from Chislehurst and Elmstead Woods stations.
My first session
When we first meet, you will get the space to talk about what’s troubling you and what you would like to work on in therapy. I will also ask you some questions about your life situation and your background to get more of a sense of you and what you might need. We would then agree on a focus for our work together so that you may get the most out of therapy. The first session is charged at the same rate as subsequent sessions.

Fees per session: £80 for individuals and £110 for couples. Each session lasts 50 minutes

I’m an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor, trained at the Metanoia Institute, with 15 years in clinical practice. I provide counselling sessions in Harley Street, Old Street and Chislehurst. I specialise in supporting people to reduce anxiety and depression, improve self-confidence and self-esteem, and work through relationship issues and trauma. Working through life transitions, both personal and career, and supporting people manage stress with increased resilience is also a special interest.

Together we will explore the place where you feel at odds with yourself or your life, working in-depth rather purely at symptom level, so that the changes you make feel sustainable.
