About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome, thank you for taking the time to read my directory profile.
Join me for outdoor and walk & talk sessions in beautiful, calming nature. Your brain and nervous system will thank you for it!
What is counselling?
I am often asked these great questions. Sessions with me are not a one size fits all, they are tailored to your individual needs where we can look at the potential root cause of issues for meaningful, lasting, positive change, not just the symptoms. Solid foundations for mental stability along with nervous system regulation and flexibility are essential for everyone but are often not yet in place for various reasons, this is also at the core of sessions with me.
Counselling provides you with a supportive, confidential and safe environment where you will be valued and listened to in a respectful way. Family and friends can offer support but for many reasons it's often useful to take it away from those around you where you can fully open up and say what you really feel with someone who is not connected to your personal or professional life.
An effective form of therapy, it can help you make positive changes to your life and deal with issues that may feel overwhelming or are causing you emotional pain, unhappiness or stress, helping you to gain more insight into understanding yourself and your problems whilst finding solutions that are right for you.
Who I am & how I can you support you:
The relationship with your counsellor is the most important part of it. They can be the best therapist in the world but if there isn't that connection and trust it won't work, find someone else. Here is a little about me for now and more importantly, how I can support you.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome, thank you for taking the time to read my directory profile. How can I support you?
As with counselling, the relationship with your supervisor is the most important thing. Yes, the training and experience has to be there but if there is no connection or trust, find someone else who suits you better.
I work with theories of integrative & person-centred supervision as well as other models such as Shohet and Hawkins' 7 Eyed Model. This supports the supervisee by looking at their own systems, self-care and ways of working, helping them to maintain ethical and safe practice and ultimately ensure the needs of the client are being met. I appreciate how important my own supervision has been to me both personally and professionally throughout my counselling and safeguarding career, I can now enjoy having the opportunity to support fellow practitioners in the same way.
