About me and my therapy practice
In my work as a therapist, I place a strong emphasis on building a trusting and respectful working relationship with each person I work with. I believe that feeling genuinely heard and understood can be a powerful starting point for change. I aim to offer therapy in a collaborative way, with the hope that what we talk about and how we work together is always guided by what feels most helpful for you.Practice description
I operate a small counselling practice, where I aim to provide my clients with a therapeutic space where thoughts and feelings can be explored with honesty and care, at a pace that feels manageable to each client.
Alongside my therapeutic practice, I lecture in counselling at university level and find great fulfilment in supporting the development of future counsellors. Additionally, I have been an external examiner for training courses in counselling and a reviewer for scientific journals in counselling and psychology. These roles keep me engaged with contemporary thinking in the field and deepen my appreciation of the diverse ways that people make sense of their experiences. Lastly, I have completed doctoral-level research on the experiences of depression in men, and I have an interest in men’s mental health.

I am a qualified and experienced supervisor. In supervision, I seek to create a reflective and supportive environment where supervisees can think critically and compassionately about their work.
Alongside my counselling practice, I work as a university lecturer in counselling and psychology. This academic background informs my approach to supervision, particularly in supporting ethical, reflective, and research-informed practice.
Having taught and supervised students in academic settings, I understand the challenges and opportunities that come with both training and ongoing professional practice, and I aim to support counsellors at different stages of their development.
Practice description
As a counselling supervisor, I aim to provide a reflective and supportive space where you can think openly about your client work, your development, and the challenges of practice. My approach to supervision is collaborative and grounded in mutual respect. I see supervision as a space for curiosity, critical thinking, and professional growth.
