About me and my therapy practice

Feeling overwhelmed, anxious or struggling to cope?

Life can sometimes leave us feeling stuck, exhausted or disconnected from ourselves and those around us. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, the effects of trauma, relationship difficulties or low self-esteem, you don't have to face it alone.

I offer online counselling and EMDR therapy in a  confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and feel genuinely heard. Together, we'll explore what's troubling you, helping you make sense of your experiences, develop new ways of coping and move towards the life you want to live.

With over 14 years' experience, I've supported adults through a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, grief, relationship challenges and the lasting impact of difficult life experiences.

I also have specialist experience supporting family members affected by a loved one's sexually harmful or offending behaviour. These situations can leave people feeling isolated, confused, ashamed or unsure where to turn. I provide a compassionate and non-judgemental space to explore these complex experiences and support you in finding a way forward.

My practice is grounded in Person-Centred Counselling, meaning I believe that feeling accepted, understood and safe creates the conditions for meaningful change. Alongside this, I integrate EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) where appropriate, tailoring therapy to your individual needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

I am an accredited member of the Â鶹ԭ´´ and am committed to providing ethical, professional and compassionate therapy that places your wellbeing at the centre of our work together.

Taking the first step can feel difficult, but finding the right therapist is important. If you'd like to find out more or have any questions before booking a session, you're very welcome to get in touch.

Practice description

My approach to therapy is integrative, combining Person-Centred Counselling with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) where appropriate. This means I tailor our work to your individual needs, recognising that every person's experiences, strengths and goals are different.

I work with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, with a particular interest in supporting people who have experienced trauma. Trauma can affect us in many ways, leaving us feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally numb, constantly on edge, or as though the past continues to influence our present. It may result from a single distressing event or develop over time through repeated or ongoing experiences.

You don't need to have experienced a major life event to benefit from therapy. If something has left you feeling stuck, distressed or unable to move forward, your experiences are valid and deserve to be heard.

Together, we'll work at a pace that feels right for you, helping you to make sense of your experiences, process difficult memories where appropriate, reduce emotional distress, and develop greater confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing.

My first session

I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially if it's your first time or you're unsure what to expect. You're welcome to contact me by phone, Zoom or email before booking a session if you'd like to ask questions or discuss whether I'm the right therapist for you.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other in a relaxed and supportive environment. We'll explore what has brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to gain from our work together, and any concerns or questions you may have. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we'll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is an important part of the counselling process. My aim is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood and with a clearer sense of how we can work together to support your goals.

About me and my therapy practice

Clinical Supervision & Therapeutic Support

As a Clinical Supervisor, I provide both caseload and clinical supervision to professionals and students working in therapeutic settings. I currently supervise and case-manage colleagues within a therapeutic project and bring over 14 years of experience as a Person-Centred Counsellor, alongside additional training and practice as an EMDR therapist (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing).

Much of my work centres around supporting individuals affected by trauma, sexual abuse, and domestic violence. I offer a safe, supportive, and empowering space for clients who are struggling emotionally and facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, and relationship difficulties.

My core modality is Person-Centred Counselling, supported by extensive knowledge and training in other therapeutic approaches, including Solution-Focused Therapy, EMDR, and CBT.

In supervision and therapy, I aim to provide a space where individuals can explore their difficulties and begin working towards their preferred futures. This process can lead to greater emotional stability, enhanced resilience, and improved self-esteem.

I am an accredited member of the Â鶹ԭ´´ and am committed to delivering a high-quality, professional service in line with relevant legislation, ethical frameworks, and best practice guidelines.

Practice description

Supervision for Counsellors & Psychotherapists

I offer clinical supervision to both qualified and trainee Counsellors and Psychotherapists. My supervision practice supports those working with individuals, couples, and groups, as well as student counsellors during their placement training. My approach is rooted in person-centred principles, fostering professional growth, reflective practice, and a supportive space to explore your work.

I bring extensive experience in providing both individual and group supervision within a therapeutic project receiving referrals from GPs, CAMHS, and children's services. As such, safeguarding remains a central focus and is continually monitored and addressed.

I believe ongoing emotional support for counsellors is vital in maintaining ethical and professional standards, safeguarding both the client and the practitioner. Regular supervision provides an opportunity to strengthen theoretical understanding, enhance practical skills, and prioritise personal wellbeing.

Supervision is not only a space to reflect on client work, but also a place to explore the emotional impact of your practice, navigate ethical dilemmas, and support your own professional development.

Online supervision sessions are available (90 minutes) at a rate of £75.
